The closest thing I found is in my 74 electrical parts manual, I ran that part number online and got 53/63.
My reason for asking is that last night, I swapped out my Jeep’s factory 7 inch headlight housings and bulbs to the KC daylighter 7inch headlight housings and they converted my bulbs to H4 55/65 bulbs. My field of vision increase 3Xs. They’re brighter but the pattern is better and projects farther. And they’re not LEDs so they look factory. Only 150 bucks
So with the amp hours and watts being nearly identical I was thinking that kit might be a good upgrade for the dart
yeah. I have the Daylighters on my brush guard on my bumper. The headlight kit isn't those.
We had lights on the Race Baja Bug, had to it was part of desert racing back then. You raced in the dark. 1200ccs of VW power, we were allowed to go 12v by rule. Used Cibie 49 state legal headlights in the fenders and KC Daylighter pencil beams where the windshield once resided. With all the flying debris from other racers covers were used during daylight hours. Those Cibies were very efficient and bright. We were on one of the power line sections and Paul the car owner an driver decides he wants more light, reaches over and turns those pencil beams on and the draw on the generator cut the engine output in half I reach over and turn off the headlights and things back to normal. We don't do that again. Those foam covers smell really bad when they burn especially when they're only 2 feet in front of your face somehow they got turned on accidentally.
now that sounds like funCutting up seat bases to fit buckets into el camino.
I can see clearly now......What Car ???View attachment 1715379838
It's Fairlane Friday! It was Foggy Friday here a little bit ago .. Real Foggy.
I have a set of the vintage stainless ones. found them on a 62 chevy truck, so old they have wood for the bushings instead of rubber. Those early vintage KCs I swear were just chromed copies of Caterpillar equipment lights. Exact same construction. They did have better bulbs than Cat used . Cat lights were twice as expensive as KCs. It's a Caterpillar thing .
They looked at you like you were nuts probably because you WERE nuts!!!!The electricians that worked at VAFB looked at me like I was nutz when I asked them to bend some .095 wall tubing for the brush guard on my new '79 Yota 4x4. Nobody was making aftermarket stuff for them they were so new. They did a fine job of it. All I had to do was weld on the brackets and paint it and bolt it on.
