Is that on your property ?

Bill

Yes, next to my garage in the back yard... It just missed hitting the garage and only bent the end of the gutter away on one corner....

It came down on the power lines and since the lines did not snap, it bent two utility poles when it took the slack out of the lines... One of the poles had a support cable on it and it snapped the support cable and bent the pole towards my yard....

It took out one phase of my next door neighbor's power... She isn't able to gt 220/240 volts, but does have 110....

The pole on the opposite corner of my garage is bent over and the lines are touching my garage on the roof... I'm trying not to go into that garage until they get the lines off of it...

How high up is that? Did you get a power saw or hand saw? My pole saw is 10" bar. Can't tell how big that is in the pic, but I'm guessing over a food. As much as I hate paying for work tree work, I think I would hire a pro to drop that on the ground if you cant get the power co to do it for you.

I bought one of those 14 foot extendable tree pruners...

Condensed version. She was passenger. Friend driving fell asleep at the wheel. After bumping side of a pickup at 60mph went off road. got approx. 12 ft airborne according to witness. Car ended up on it side with driver down with roof against a rail. Abby had compression fratures in 3 vertebrae from the landing. Girl driving had mild concussion. Car was a brand new Ford rental.

Ouch!!!

Ventura Raceway got the Turkey Night Grand Prix in on Friday.
60+ Open wheel racers of a diminutive stature pre-entered.
Rico was there, one of the Scelzi boys, numerous top notch west coast Sprint drivers.
The track must have been challenging, many red flags in the 98 lap feature.

I see guys with yellow jackets and hard hats walking around in back of my house...

I'll be back after I find out what's going on....

I have one also. Works well.
Yes they do...But they are not a replacement for a tree man in a bucket. I have pushed that limit too many times. To use the full reach means you are cutting directly above you. Which means you are directly under the piece that is going to fall. I’ve learned to stay angled out at least a couple feet. Branches are always bigger than what they look 10ft above you.

I have them come out every five years and trim the trees. Keeps them looking nice.
