While the work madness spirals towards oblivion, I had to relieve my stress this afternoon by creating an image of simpler and more genuine reality. I could hang out here for days...

I'm going to do the block next...

We need to do an assembly with motion... I'm gonna do a short block so you can see the pistons moving while the crank rotates...

I don't want to get too complicated and not be able to finish it... Keep it simple so I can get it done in time and get the point across...

Minimum of 5 parts...
 
I drew up a model of a crankshaft for my final project for my Solidworks class....

What would be the firing order using that Crank?

When I showed my kid the drawing, he asked what the grease stains on my bedroom carpet are from... It's from the crank.. I didn't think it was that bad, but the carpet can be cleaned or if the stains don't come out, no biggie...

Hindsight, I should have put something down to protect the carpet...

That is a rough drawing of a small block mopar crank... 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

I had one handy to take rough measurements off of...
Sorry, it looks wonkie to me.......:( Journals are not lined up correct, but who am I? :lol:
