Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ugh I hate the blue lol.
When all you react to is the color and ignore the mechanics of a rare 350 engine in one of those...you have confirmed yourself as a fool.

Color can be changed, having a factory 350 in one of those was rarer than hen’s teeth.

A neighbour’s grandfather had a chevette with a v6.
Same 2.8 they were putting in the camaros. And would outrun the camaro with the same engine.

We put a Monza 2+2 262.5 V8 in my best friend’s ‘62 Chevy panel van back in the late 80s. We worked it up a bit with a mild cam, aluminum intake and a Holley 4 bbl plus headers. It ran like a raped ape with the 4 spd manual gearbox behind it and 3.90 rear gear Posi. It sounded like a jet engine with the roller chain we put in it.

I had a 2.8 in an 87 Beretta. That was a fun car...
Wife’s girlfriend had a beretta,4cyl 5 speed.
We took it on a trip, 15 dollars in gas. Same trip with the caprice i had burned 85.

My uncle went thru two 4 cyls in a beretta. But to be fair, he beat the living hell out of it

Just heard from Tim. He shifted his plans and went to an RV rally. Vegas is pretty much shut down and he is heading home in the am.

<~~~~ was a 16 yr old kid working in Chevron full service station. Remember those? In comes this bright red 70-71 Camaro, "Fill it up with regular and would you check the oil please?" . Down goes the license plate, in goes the nozzle, off to the front of the Camaro he goes. Opens the hood :wtf:. "Hey Bill! You gotta see this!" . There before the gawking teenagers was a mighty Chevy II 4 cylinder . He closes the hood and smears the deceased desert bugs around on the windshield, tops off the tank, puts the cap back on, up goes the license plate. "SASKATCHEWAN". That explains the 4 cylinder. :steering::rofl:

I remember the little V8s in the Monzas and still they were pretty kool for bow ties.

Its Monday!! Good Morning all you coffee drinkers and Ben. :poke:

My sleep time zone is a tad off so up early today. We took a day flight home Saturday. She wanted to try something different. By the time we drove home it was almost 2am before we got to bed. As we got ready for bed, I explained to her in the old days if I was out until 2am I usually got lucky. She replied "Ahh the old days weren't they great, now go to sleep" :D

I always did the red eyes from there just easier to adapt to the new time zones. Ah the old days how did I survive?
