Do you have one? Vat 40 is much better. It has a inductive amp pick up.
If it is was at a coffee shop with a pretty waitress I'd understand. LOL

I think I found instructions for a VAT 28 on the net. Or maybe Ray did. But eitehr way its out there. Try internet archive.I do. Got it last summer.
I have a older model I got by Mitches needs a panel meter I cannot find! Huge and heavy has to be 400 lbs. That
That's the thing Mike, if somone has the space, and a little bit of skill could be a nice hobby or side business fixing them. Certainly have better results than buying a 'rebuilt' or new one.
yeah, I printed them off and put them in my binder. Haven't played much with it, tried it a couple times. I need to bring it out and mess with it this weekend.I think I found instructions for a VAT 28 on the net. Or maybe Ray did. But eitehr way its out there. Try internet archive.

Sugar, Thanks for the suggestion. I need more. You can always turn it into vodka if need be. LOLI was up late couldn't sleep. Woke up just in time to go to coffee. From there stopped by the store when it opened and picked up some chicken, TP, and sugar. The stuff we couldn't get last weekend.
My neighbor was telling me he had like 80 rolls of TP. He asked me to drive him over to the next town in the next few days. His son lives there and he's buying his riding lawn mower. He said he'd pay for gas. I smiled and told him round trip will cost 12 rolls...
We hav ne at work. Thats what we had in high school electronics shop. The old school go to meter was the Simpson 260. I want one but cheap!

Do you know what's involved in testing them?I need to get a battery in this and check it out... My brother in law got it in an auction lot a few years ago and gave it to me.

Dads main job for years was testing precision explosion proof panel meters used in the nuclear facilities at that time. I think he just did the electrical though. Lol. Mainly using the meters to check themselves. As in the paper he had written up with that Lafayette. Verified ohms against 1% resistors. I'm sure he had a varietyof precise known outputs to check voltages, etc.Do you know what's involved in testing them?
That would be pretty cool
