Here we go in the way back machine.
Back in the 80’s. I was on the biggest fire in the province, working warehouse stock. Loaded a net that they slung under the sikorsky. It lifts off but couldnt pick up the net. 12 of us on the ground run up and give the net a push, and get it moving forward, as soon as it got a little higher and moving, away it went. Hot weather doesent help with lift off.

That's the sky crane isn't it? Didn't know temperature could affect lift that much.

This is what we did all day, wore us out, was in bed by 7 lol!

I used to work on the HH-60 (g) pave hawks. Loved them.
I got flown off of the USS Nimitz in a CH-53 Sea Stallion, 3 engines in that one. Was with SIL who was the EMO on the ship, her mom had died so we both got outta there.
EMO is Electronic Maintenance Officer. She had a bad day at sea, her crew had worked on the ships satellite TV antenna (and other equipment). Anyway, the dome was located in the cat walks port side of the ship, they didn't fasten down the raydome. A helo lifted off, sucked that sob right off of the antenna array and out to sea that dome went!
Dam some heads did not follow the job instructions.
Yep, she was us talking to the C.O. about that one in a hurry. She did great in her career, made senior chief then LDO. O-1 to O-4 pretty quick too.
Geezz now a Doctor is on TV this morning saying wash your hands AND wash your face, when you wash your hands.
He also said we should social distance until the come up with a vaccine. I'm ok with that.
Heck I remember in my younger days, out at the bars, we'd be drinking a few, and looking at the girls.
Some you say wouldn't touch that with a six foot pole. Heck how'd we know it'd later become a national policy.

I don't get the masks they are pushing. They do not protect you from others, only others from you. Almost any mask with charcoal in it is 600% better than them, and will protect you also. One of the reason the healthcare workers are getting sick!
