Stop in for a cup of coffee

Brought 2 of the cars back from a friend's house last night too. Feels good to have them back. Need to insulate the garage before winter, but it is a nice space for now.

Got the wife off to work. Now time for me to play. What's the weather? Looks like scattered thunderstorms today. Good day to do laundry and play on the internet. The electricity was off this morning. No power to the modem and router. when it came back on. I had forgotten that my youngest hooked that power strip up to his battery back up and he safely shut it all down last night when the power went out. Working good now though. Probably better after a reset!

Morning all. Been to the other coffee group and back. Time for more lies and stories...haha!!
Rain all night off and on, and through the morning. I guess according to the microwave we lost power during the night.
Think I'll go out to the garage and sort through the stuff I brought home from Carlisle. Not much, won't take to long.

Hey it's Federal Income Tax day. For those like me, don't forget to mail it in, or ask for your extension...ugh!!

I told my Dad once when I was a teen, "I found a '40 Willys for sale and I want it." In all seriousness Dad responds " What do you want one of those ugly MFs for?". His fav was '40 Ford. In my eyes, aside from a difference in the grill area they were clones .
I like the 33's even better

How about Wagin' Wednesday? Don't see these too often. Licensed and packing laundry!

Chris back in the old country builds a V8 Vega hatchback. Stuffs the narrowist GM diff available under it and still had lots of tire hangin' out in the air. He drives it over the hill to San Bernardino to go to Super Shops. On his way home, CHP officer lights him up on I15. ":wtf: was I doin' wrong? I wasn't speedin'". Officer takes license and registration. Chris watching him the rearview, officer has his foot resting on the exposed L60x15 and writing away in the ticket book. No mud flaps the ticket says

Mud flaps...
There's a blast from the past. Back in the 80's all the parts stores had them chrome triangles with a little flap on the bottom to keep your oversized tires legal(er)...(and your burnout rubber off your quarters - LOL) Is that not a thing anymore? Haven't seen them around anymore.

That sounds like fun!
It was, with the GM, heavy *** 4 speed behind it.....I was stranded with a blown clutch, No problem, I can change. Jacked up the car, jack stands, pulled the trans, almost crushed my chest!! OMG!! HEAVY!! Had to rent a trans jack to put it back in!!! Side of the road.....:BangHead: Had to walk to the rental yard and pulled it back in a Wagon!!! 5 miles one way!!! Of course, after walking past the yard on the way to get the clutch!!! And back....

I was 19 or 20,i bench pressed my 727 back into my 68 coronet after rebuilding it. That would never cross my mind today.
