Dumps here will not take leaves. They actually have a guy checking as you come in from Labor Day to ChristmasAs long as the debris is dry, it will pick up well. Wet, you will be dealing with the pipe plugging up. i have considered a bagger, just load into dump trailer and its off to the dump.
Here we have a dedicated area for organic debris, brush ,leaves and such. They push it up and burn it. During burn bans it goes into a landfill of sorts, pushed into a pit and buried.Dumps here will not take leaves. They actually have a guy checking as you come in from Labor Day to Christmas
Mine doesn’t pick up very good if they are wet or already mulched. But I am running regular blades and bagger is actually from a different mower...I'm gonna test my "new" lawn tractor out today... I just got it running yesterday...
I gotta learn how to use the leaf collector, lots of leaves on the lawns that need to be picked up....
I've never had a riding mower before this year, especially one with the leaf collector and need to figure out how to get it to pick up the leaves, and then empty them...
Should I "premulch" the leaves with one of my other mowers first by wagon training them with circles and then once they are in a pile, take the leaf collector one over them to mulch them some more and pick them up???

Karl, my JD (likely this one too) has special high lift blades for the bagger. It mulches them very well and they fill the bagger. The biggest issue for me is what to do with all that is picked up. Last time it filled my entire truck bed. Do you realize how long of a road trip you have to take to get all that crap to blow out the back of the truck???

Good Morning
they used to take them, turn them into compost that they'd hand out free the next spring, but the Dem controlled council put a stop to it last year. Said it made the recycling center smell. Here we have a dedicated area for organic debris, brush ,leaves and such. They push it up and burn it.
