It is fun. Difficult, but fun.....I need to order a cam and lifters. And torque converter and plate. Does a 360 use a balanced flex plate or? It is a Pace engines, so you would think it has been internally balanced....

Our kitchen is a tornado zone this morning, we had to make room for deer meat in the freezer so that led to rearranging the freezer, well that led to pulling out frozen apple slices from our tree, that lead to pulling out two year old leeks from garden. Then put this years deer in freezer. Well that led to dragging all the canning stuff back out. I thought sure we were done for the season! Hah! Silly me, so now we have two batches of apple sauce in two crockpots next up for canning after leek soup stock gets done. Canners everywhere jars gone crazy. I love the end result but canning is a chore.

Hey all, haven't been around much. renewed my Gold membership this morning. Been lapsed for a while and I couldn't deal with the
advertisements any longer. Don't have much to post since my BC is finished and my new builder project is a 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone factory 4 speed that I am in the process of replacing the floorpan and the lower firewall. Anyway good morning to all and stay safe out there. DR out---------------------

Oh baby!!! Nice!! I had a 74 4 door comet in college. I have a soft spot for them. Got any pics?

So i found a broken hinge pin. Yup, just drive it out and use a bolt i think...easier said than done!
My ball joint press got it moving, but now it has stalled. Think i will grind the exposed pin, drill open part of hole and push pin back the other way. Such a pain.

This is the day I bought the car. A running driving 40 footer. It is now in a million pieces on stands
waiting for me to put in a one-piece floorpan, subframe connectors and put it on the new rotisserie
and shave the shock towers. Then things will get serious-------------------:)

I'm thinking 351 Windsor, maybe a stroker. The block decks are 1" taller than the 289 family but they are basically a bolt in for my car. I just want to be able to change spark plugs in whatever I put in it:)

I like the 351W, great motor and so much aftermarket support. Had several of them over the years. That car is an original 4 speed too if I remember from the first time you posted it?
 
Talked to my parts guy. He’s excited. Not sure how much money i need to put up, but it sounds like not a lot. Little increments. Top movers and as time goes expand inventory.
