Yuck hate those.Still have kink in my neck....
We’ll find out. My wife is in the dog house with me over yesterday. For 3 weeks, she’s been telling me we weren’t going anywhere for thanksgiving and wanted me to do a big lunch. So I did, Turkey took a bit longer than I expected, we ate lunch about 2. And I made a feast. Anyway, at about 5 she tells my son and daughter to go change clothes, tells me to get ready so we can go to her dads for thanksgiving supper!!! I was pissed. I felt like a heel going over there just to sit and not eat cause I was in a food coma from our lunch.Every one survive Thanksgiving? I will let you know if I did in 15 days.
Will be interesting to see how big it is this year. Normally we get a stack of Black Friday ads an inch thick, this year, only 4 stores sent out adds.Let the chaos begin...
Her surprise, you'd eaten, it is what it is. I wouldn't worry about it.We’ll find out. My wife is in the dog house with me over yesterday. I’m not. I’m more pissed cause I got yelled out for not being ready to leave at 5, mins you she waited until then to tell me, as I’m laying on the couch half asleep. And considering she’s never on time to go anywhere. Still has me annoyed. Her surprise, you'd eaten, it is what it is. I wouldn't worry about it.
LOVE homemade pie!!
Hey I have a question for you, well for anyone. Trying to figure out what this roller is. It’s a very solid roller, floorboards have already been replaced. It looks like someone started a build on it then for whatever reason, it ends up here in the junkyard. Her surprise, you'd eaten, it is what it is. I wouldn't worry about it.
We had a small town restaurant just like that. GREAT food!!On my first job out of college, I was sent to the manufacturing plant in Blytheville, AR (@memike knows that town), and they had a small restaurant in town that was only open for breakfast and lunch and closed for dinner... You could get a good home cooked meal there, like meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans... The one waitress used to make fresh home made pies every day... Those were the best pies that I ever tasted....
One time I was there with some coworkers and when our waitress brought us our check mentioned that she was going to make a strawberry pay "tomorrow".... We asked if she could save us each a piece and we would be in tomorrow... She did... She saved us three pieces of pie... (Only three more pieces left for other customers - but the early bird gets the worm)... That was the best pie I've ever had...
When I got married down there, we took my wife's father there for lunch and he agreed that those pies were the best he ever tasted...
I drove by there about 10 years ago when passing by on a road trip, but couldn't find them anymore... I think they closed...
Looks like an old Buick or Pontiac. Try 1956Hey I have a question for you, well for anyone. Trying to figure out what this roller is. It’s a very solid roller, floorboards have already been replaced. I’m thinking it’s a late 40s or early 50s GM but which I’m not sure

Pontiac would be my guess.Looks like an old Buick or Pontiac. Try 1956
Yeah I wondered about that too. I’ve got a buddy wanting a 50s gasser project. Thought this would be a good start for him. We just couldn’t figure out exactly what it is. It’s fully stripped, not an emblem or a marking on it.Doesn't have the vent hole to be a Buick but they could have been filled in. Almost looks like a chopped top
That looks really close.
that is a nice story of your dad and four legged Buster, good riddance to the ex brother. You have a blessed dayThat's a nice rememberance of Buddy...
I still have the last birthday card that my dad sent me... It had a picture of a Dalmatian on the front and the caption said, "Do I smell cake"???
Then when you opened it, it wished me a happy birthday and he had a paw print of my male Dalmatian Buster on it... That was the last year my dog and dad were alive... I've saved that card and put on my refrigerator....
My dad loved Dalmatians as much as I do... He loved when I visited and brought my Dals with me... One time I didn't bring the Dalmatians and he asked me why??? (I felt like I was being questioned in the First 48 show).... So after that, I always made sure to bring the Dals with me... Dad would take care of them the whole time I visited... I kept food bowls at dad's house for them so all I had to do is bring the dogs and their leashes when I visited.... Whenever I came to visit dad, I would ask the dogs, "Who wants to go to Chicago???" and the dogs would run for the front door and I would let them out and they would jump in the back seat of my car, ready for a road trip.... When I got within a mile of dad's house and opened the window so the dogs could smell the forest preserve, the male would sometimes would get excited and howl with happiness in anticipation of seeing my dad and staying here for a visit... He could tell by the smell that we were close to 'grandpa's house'....
When my wife and I were going through our divorce, she was trying to tell me that my male Dalmatian was in bad shape and we should put him down... I didn't agree and was afraid that she would take him to the vet and have him put down one day and I would find out when I came home from work and he wasn't there... So I asked my dad to look after him so she couldn't have him put down behind my back... He lived another 3 years with my dad.... (Coincidentally that dog and my dad had the same birthday also)....
My dog and dad died before my next birthday... I'm glad that I kept that card, it's the best reminder of my dog and dad....

If you went in for lunch they'd have four or five pie selections listed on a chalk board on the wall. When they ran out they erased the pie off the board.
Depending on the lunch crowd that day, when they took your order, you ordered your pie slice, because it might be gone before you finished your meal.
I ate there many times !! And yes they had the best breakfast and lunch, I was a electrician then , sad to say they closed, I think a car lot is there todayOn my first job out of college, I was sent to the manufacturing plant in Blytheville, AR (@memike knows that town), and they had a small restaurant in town that was only open for breakfast and lunch and closed for dinner...
