Are the wheels supposed to be centered by the hub?
Or centered by the tapered lug nuts and studs?

Lug nuts I believe thats why they are tapered.

If that is what keeps everything round, the center hole or the hub OD really shouldn't matter mechanically.

No, it didn’t have any suspension on it at the time luckily. No the dart fell because a caster came apart.

Hmm if it’ll go that small. The one I have only goes down to 3 inches bore diameter.

70.6mm, the stepped taper is 70.00 mm, roughly 2.77 to 2.75 inches

Only one way to know for sure! DO IT!

I think a brake hone is about that size for disks. Just dont do the very end where the caps are. I am done now.

I had a set of US Slots many years ago. One of the little plastic caps didn't fit well. Two short pieces of electrical tape applied to the cap in the mating area to fill the gap did the trick.

Made it to shop. Time to get to swapping tires. 8 16 inch 10 ply tires for one ton van. Have to swap tires/rims. I dont like balancing these big ones. Its always a fight.
