Or a field training exercise. It's not a real moving day unless it is raining, snowing, freezing cold or sweltering heat.
At least that's my recollection

Or in the house while we worked on it. Yep we were lucky. It was a long road for you, glad you're finally getting in. One good thing, you didn't live in an RV for 18 months.... : )

I remember you guys in the RV, that was tough especially for 18 months.
Or a field training exercise.
I remember Infantry Officer Basic Course at Ft Benning in January. Once we were out in the field for two weeks with the Rangers. It rained the entire time, temps in the upper 30's low 40's. The guys from the sunny states had never been that cold and had a really hard time. It was tough, especially on the last day when we did our water survival test. In and out of the water three times, standing for a couple hours. A lot of guys ended up in the hospital, the company commander got relieved. It was defiantly an experience that for the rest of my life when I faced tough conditions I'd reflect and thought if I did that I can do this. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing better than 34 degrees (F), raining/sleeting and that trail of water running down your back and filling up your boots... NOTHING.
