Stop in for a cup of coffee

 As if the substantial rain event yesterday morning was not enough for one day, about 60 miles up the beach a 3.6 earthquake to add to the fun.

Ugh the 440 may get slowed up a bit. I thought the cam kit would include the bolt for the cam gear, it doesn’t :BangHead:

Yeah I realize that now haha. I’ve got one coming from Mancini racing so all good. I’m gonna go down thru a component list to make sure I didn’t miss any other tiny item
Real crazy haw many little things you need building from scratch. No reusing any old parts..

Well I have no old parts to use off of it. Not even bolts It came as a stripped bare block with the major components like heads, intake, pistons/rods and crank all laying next to it. Crank was reuseable but a cast so I upgraded to a factory Forged steel crank. Then got all new rods, pistons, etc for it

Like my 408. I sold the 318 as a long block that was in it, so a lot of the parts went with it....

This is why I like parts engines.....
Agreed. I do have some parts from a 1970 440 I may be able to use. I have to sort thru them. But for the bolts and everything, I got ARP bolts and studs throughout. Even valve covers bolts.

Got somewheres around an inch of rain last night. Almost dried up at the moment.Supposed to get more later today.

We got about 3 1/2" of rain from Sun morning to Mon evening...

Some trees fell down also...

Crazy wind up here today. And that is saying something as the wind is generally strong enough to slam your truck door on your legs on any given day up here.
Ya, its crazy windy here too.

Got some more stuff put away, tomorrow’s work is in shop so it will be dry. 100% chance of rain
