Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning all...took the Barracuda for a drive. The carb had been shorting at initial acceleration. John took it off and the accelerator pump was bad, and two step metering rods instead of three. I had an extra Carter 4298. It had the right metering rods and took the factory floats and used the springs off it. Mine had been rebuilt and they'd used aftermarket parts. I'll go original where I can. Got a kit ordered for the pump. All is good.
That car is beautiful, I like your idea to keep her as is, where at all possible. Heck I would have already had fender flares on it with a roll bar! Blower sticking up thru the hood and paint it Sublime.

@halifaxhops
I've lost all respect for you.:poke:

Especially since all that information can be found online. Or in the vehicles operators manual. I often go to the Net to quickly find the procedure to reset on different cars. I just wish that all automotive manufacturers had made the process the same. I'd spend less time on line ???

Faster online than looking in the owners manual. Like how to reset the clock. It's buried on page 134. It needs to be inside the front cover! :lol:

90%of carb problems are electrical (fbbo)

Yup, the manual usually guides you to another page,and perhaps a 3rd. “Oil life reset”
Highlighter in the index abd a post it on the correct page.

Wife keeps her 214 in her purse. She shrunk it then embossed it. She whips it out as needed! Hah! Que Karl.
Sent in a copy of my 214 when I renewed my driver's and concealed carry license and now they say 'veteran' on them and so far all the restaurants accept that :D
