I'm out here soon, we're off to Banjo's one of the BEST breakfast places in the area. After that on to Kansas City, a 45-minute drive. picking up our cooktop that we'd been waiting for with another box store for six months...ugh!!
We've learned the last few days with a box store the vendor fills based on basic supply and demand. If store chain A sells more cooktops than store B, the store A gets more cooktops. It really does pay to shop around.
I mentioned the other day we also found the refrigerator we want. It's at yet a different local store and I'll pick it up Monday.
We'll have both installed before the Air Force bunch arrives here Wednesday.

Glad you're finding what you want. That's a good tip. Had a bunch of back and forth when I replaced the washing machine here. Everything was picked through and "unknown" back order. Finally told the guy to tell me what they had in the warehouse. The system seemed to suck as he had to go into the back and write down the P/Ns on the boxes by hand. Apparently the inventory system would not allow a general "what's in stock" query.

Be safe out there

I look around stores to see what they have. Then go online and compare specs(because sales people mostly don't know, and tell you what they think you want to hear) If it's getting delivered, I mostly just order whoever has the best price. But if it's something I can pick up, the local guy with it in stock usually gets the sale even if it's a little higher on price.

Mornin'. Santa came early. I'm here on a new laptop. It's a Gateway machine. Not a lot of ram or storage. I think it will do what little I want to do. Have a great day.

I don't know if any of you watched the Macys parade Thursday. Wife is no doubt in the kitchen so I watch the parade and call out the floats, characters, bands, etc... She will glance at the TV when she can. Junior is here and asked her what he can do to help, so she puts him to giving the floors a quick vacuum. So vacuum is running, I can't hear the commentators, and a float character I didn't recognize appears on screen. I ask what/who is that? Junior turns the vacuum off and says, "Dont know. Must be from a video game or something". Then a Star Wars like spaceship comes down, hoovers, grabs the float and speeds away with whatever it was in tow. Place mind blown emoji here LOL. Wife missed it due to a bathroom break.
An hour later, us males are sitting out in the sunshine (another beautiful Thanksgiving day in slabtown. I fire up my propane deep fryer to do the fried okra. A bit of a tradition here, how I get us away from the hen session going on indoors). Last menu item to cook, works great. Never any leftover. Anyway... Junior and I start telling my brother and others what we witnessed during the parade broadcast. My brother asked, "What were yall smoking?". LOL
Since I have not been able to find it on Youtube or anywhere online so I can show it to those who missed it... I'm now wondering, what we were smoking? I've tried several different search terms.
That wasn't the only CGI I saw during the parade. It's definitely not the most important part for me and never will be. I have always appreciated every aspect of the parade production, from marching bands, to float builders, and even the commentators who are working on Thanksgiving day. Long live Macys and American tradition.

Hahaha...

Watch out for the MIB

Missed the parade this year. Last year was a mess with all the pre-recorded stuff. Glad it was a fun one this year
