I'll be the guy in the U-haul next month, flying to New Orleans to pick up daughter and her El Camino. Wonder how much gas will cost on a 2,677 mile trip : (

that was a slight exaggeration. Maybe.
I’ll put it this way, right now, on my trip, I’ll have between 650-750 in gas alone. Average 23.8 mpg in the big Hemi. South of the TN/AL state line, the cheapest I’ve seen 87 for has been 4.89. It’s 5.19 across from the hotel. Premium which the hemi requires is 6.399

Yes, trailer from U-Haul and I know the cost of that part, $2200 one way.

Part of that "one way" cost is for U Haul to drag another similar trailer to the point of origin. Look into renting at the final destination and dragging it to the loading location and return it where you rented it. Just a "do the math" kinda thought. They charge a bunch for that whole one way thing.

That’s what kills me . Companies like that get millions of tax payer money but it never ever actually benefits the citizens . Back in 2009 we had a Canadian based solar power company basically lobby themselves into a deal with the state to use emminent domain to force a friend of mine to sell his 2.5 million dollar race shop and adjoining land for the purpose of building solar panels. They got the state and feds to label them as a public utility and forced the county to re-zone the area. With the real estate market the way it was, they got the building for about a million. Plus got roughly 6 million from local and state governments. Three months , the company disappeared off the face of the planet. Now, that building is a fire extinguisher factory. Crazy.
There was a canadian solar panel company that basically scammed a bunch of money out of various governments. Left lots of people high and dry.

47 degrees and rain here, come on Summer! I have a 3 day burn permit this Fri, Sat, Sun, hoping to burn a big pile before rain on Sunday.

Our prediction of "may gust to 25mph" turned into sustained at 30mph with gusts to 40mph  I didn't have to wear the sweatshirt in the house today, so it was a bit of an improvement

Moms house is empty, cleaned and listed for sale. Realtor figures there will be 6 offers in the next couple weeks.

wife talked to mom, sounds less pissed off than usual. Maybe its not a bad thing that we arent going every day now.

I used to live down there, it's ok to wear a sweatshirt when it's 66 degrees outside lol

It's funny what you get used to  When I was a kid we moved from the Mojave Desert to the beach in San Diego County.
It would get up to 75-80 down there and the natives were getting ready to melt  Sis and I were thinkin' long sleeves

Good evening world travelers. windy here today again, so worked on the Desoto. My ADD kept getting me sidetracked. Going to take a long time changing projects all the time.

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well. I got my distributor and wires yesterday, so maybe those will go in this weekend. Need to bleed the brakes on the daily and check on my hood.

Ran across this article from 2017 on the mighty Leaning Tower of Power

Add 77 Horsepower to Your Mopar Slant Six with Basic Bolt-Ons!

Mopar 225 Slant Six, the factory rated 100 (net) horsepower jumps all the way to 177 thanks to a mild Hughes Engines cam, Doug Dutra 2-piece exhaust manifolds, a 390-cfm Holley 4-barrel, and an Aussie Speed ram-tuned intake manifold.

Not directed at you Chris... but in general, what's in the toolbox in the trunk on a longer drive with your classic MOPAR? I should watch the @Stephen Hotz videos (sorry I haven't yet Steve)
