Went there on a "Roberts Overnighter" while we were stationed in Oahu. They overbooked the "Kona Surf Resort", ended up having to give us a suite, wife didn't want to leave the room after that so we didn't see as much as I wanted to lol! We did take the rental car where no man is supposed to, over the road that goes between Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, rough road but kinda cool!

We've been to Hawaii a few times but haven't left the island.
We have a good friend who was raised on Maui and still has parents there.

Nice mix you have there. I need to just go buy some seeds and starts, can't get motivated though as haven't seen 60 degrees yet and not forecast to make it there through the end of the month. Think it's going to be a green tomato summer, dunno. I need to drive posts for pole/string beans, run wire and string for the vines. Also was going to build a tomato ring where I put compost in the middle but crap weather, windy as hell tomorrow with rain, whaaaah!
Heard of Hilo Hatties? Prolly spelled that wrong and it might even be on Oahu, seems like it was a tourist spot, think the wifey bought muumuu's there lol!
Big Island They Have KMC Military camp, you can rent a stone cabin on the ridge of Kiluea, cool place active/retires only. Best way to see it in action at night.

Yes Oahu. Touris clothing shop. I was more of a Anna's Bananas type guy! That place was a good time always.
Yes been there like an open air mall. They have one in Honolua.

Indoors or a "wall of water" might be the only way I'll get anything near ripe this summer. I was looking for a large truck tire intertube, going to fill it with water and put the tomato plants on inside or outside edge, warms up during day and keeps them warmer at night. Couldn't really find one for under $90, tire shop, Amazon etc.
