Hell I don’t know. Speedo cable goes to it, then a second cable goes from the cruise unit under the hood to the Speedo on the dashThat was not the question. How does it know what speed you are going?

Im about to pull the setup out of the 80 lebaron,as long as the lower speedo cable fits im golden. I think even the older k-cars and sundance used the speedo cable setups.Speaking of cruise, What simple Mopar cruise works on our old cars?
80s Dakotas have the same cable ends as a 74 charger. My wife had an 87 and I used the speedo cable that goes from the unit to the dash off my 74 charger to fix hers.Im about to pull the setup out of the 80 lebaron,as long as the lower speedo cable fits im golden. What do you use to control it? Inside controls....80s Dakotas have the same cable ends as a 74 charger. My wife had an 87 and I used the speedo cable that goes from the unit to the dash off my 74 charger to fix hers.
Just like a modern car, only it’s on the turn signal lever. Set, accel, resume, decel, on/off. All on a slider switch on the turn signal lever,What do you use to control it? Inside controls....
Yes, but how do you incorporate that into your car? The lever fit?Just like a modern car, only it’s on the turn signal lever. Set, accel, resume, decel, on/off. All on a slider switch on the turn signal lever,
Yep, take the steering wheel off, the lever is the same screw pattern as the turn signal lever without. There is a small, 3 wire harness that runs from the end of the lever. Route it out of the way underneath the switch, and then connect to the harness that you run thru the firewall from the unit under the hood.Yes, but how do you incorporate that into your car? The lever fit?
So these high temp, high humidity days have not faired too well in regards to my Jeep. Tuesday, it got HOT, red on the gauge, temp light on. Puked coolant. So that night, I troubleshooted it or tried too. Compression test, leak down test, right down the middle and of the charts for both. Coolant level topped off. Purged air via the purge hole in the water pump. Which was pumping. Wednesday, overheated but didn’t puke, so I flushed everything last night. New water pump, thermostat. New coolant. New belt, new temp sensor, new fan relay.
as soon as I stop moving, temperature climbs to 230-240 within seconds. With or without AC on, at 240, the Jeep kicks the AC off anyways. Fans are working and turning on @195 like they’re supposed too.
stumped. I think 290,000 miles might finally be catching up on this old girl
PS I typically filled 1/2 tank stops as most pumps stop at 100 bucks. 1/2 tank is right at 100 bucks so that worked out. Lots of folks on road so I am guessing fuel cost is not inhibiting summer traffic as much as I had guessed. So trying to catch up after whirlwind trip down to Ark from ND. For all you heading to Carlisle here is my fuel summary from nine stops in six states just over 2,000 miles round trip. Average Diesel cost was 5.26. I was just over 15k pounds running 6.7 Cummins in 08 truck. 13.3 mpg. Your mileage may vary!
I love that car. If I was not wrapped up in moving I think I would seriously look at that.@toolmanmike
Was this one of the hot rods on your list of things to do?

65 Coronet would be my second choice. That thing is a time capsule.@toolmanmike

Need a brake light switch, on/off and a set button. Accel and coast add more wiring and switches. The control under the hood on the lebaron has 3 connections. What do you use to control it? Inside controls....
No rodding out that rad, its garbage.Time to get the radiator rodded out maybe?
it was just another day.

Hmmm that’s a thought or the PCV valve, those are notorious for going out in Jeeps. Mines been replaced at least 4 times already. You check the EGR valve on your jeep?

Could be running very lean.......Hmmm that’s a thought or the PCV valve, those are notorious for going out in Jeeps. Mines been replaced at least 4 times already.
