Stop in for a cup of coffee

If you watch those on site storm reporters closely, you will see what I mean. I've even seen the camera man throwing debris in front of the camera for Extra effect. They are all looking for fame......
Remember the dude from cnn that got caught standing in a pond claiming to be in the hurricane surge the other year?

Completely agree. But the guy I’m talking about isn’t a reporter. He’s an actual scientist. He’s known for pushing the limits of safety and it sounds like he finally pushed too far. I was watching his live stream yesterday when he was sitting on the bridge that goes from the coast to the island in his tornado vehicle. Storm surge that knocked the bridge down, right where he was at. It was the last anyone has heard from him or his team
Ya, That bridge is maybe a mile long. I heard that at least 60-80 ft were blown out....

Our governor has issued a standby warning. We may be going to Florida this weekend. IF needed.

Someone i know just bought a used electric car. $79,000. Saving $600 a month in gas. So lets say 8 years financing. Hope battery holds out too.Plus interest. Why not just spend the money on gas?

Had a friend do that. Spend 800 bucks a month on a Tesla , base model. To save 230 bucks a month on gas. An 18 hr trip from here to Miami turned in nearly 24 hours by the time he had to stop and charge every 3 hours. Meanwhile, when we went in May, I stopped once for 15 minutes for food and gas….

They showed numerous Tower Cranes all wadded up down there on the news a bit ago.

Always disliked them things. Luckily I only had to work on one, one time. That was enough for me.

Yea you were sitting duck !
My High School buddy was a tail gunner on a Buff. He liked it. If the main part of the aircraft had terminal issues, he had his own EJECT button and he was outa there. He really took offense when they automated the guns and moved the gunner and controls a midships with the rest of the crew. :realcrazy::lol:

Pretty sure that wasn’t an option in a B17 over Europe lol

Theres a lot of stuff wadded up. And I guess some of one of the barrier islands sunk into the sea floor… took a bunch of stuff with it and it’s now 3 islands instead of one

Said he only had to EJECT once. Aircraft had landing gear issues and was sliding down the runway on it's belly. He and his turret stopped long before they did :realcrazy:

Electric cars...talking with the neighbor tonight. His son lives on Marco Island Guif side of Florida.
Ian is coming so he parks the electric Tesla on high ground.
Not high enough surge saltwater hits it batteries catch on fire and the car melts.
His 18-year-old daughter's Tesla (WTH) was ok.

Makes a guy think twice about an EV in a place that uses salt or brine on ice covered highways :realcrazy:

Some places won't let EV park in garage, case they catch fire.
