So question. How long can a carb sit new, in a sealed air tight box with Oxy absorbers and still be ready to use right out of the box?

I’m gonna rebuild both these carbs, just cause. But the intent is to have them identically set up so that if one fails on me during power tour or HRDW, I can just bolt the other on and go.
I have carried an extra ceramic resistor thing-a-ma-bob in the glove box but never needed a spare carb.

Yeah.

So my intent is to do hot Rod power tour. That one will be the less grueling one. Then the following year, I plan to do Hot Rod Drag Week. Which is a TRASH. It’s 5 tracks, 5 days, 300+ miles apart, no one but you and a single co driver can work on the car. You have to change to drag slicks at the track, no cheater clicks or DOT stuff, plus a variety of other rules. It has a 30 percent failure to complete rate and almost everyone has some sort of parts failure.

So my plan is to use the allowed small trailer , tow it behind the dart with hard to find Mopar or car specific only parts that I’ll need. Plus my tools and such. The goal is to complete the entire event, I don’t have the car to win the class on speed alone.

Seems like a good OEM part rebuild would have super low failure rate. Floats? Or are you thinking like a linkage break?

What's your basic tool kit look like?

I’ve yet to build it out, I’m just making the list as I think of things.

That’s a lot of blow jobs
Well he is the MAN HO!

So after losing my 2010 Challenger to a stupid chick high on drugs....I finally find one just like it. He shows paper work that shows that it was 1 of 225 made. SO I had one of those. I had it in to a dealership to get a key and they commented as to it being a kind of rare one. Noe the question is...do I get a car loan to buy this one in Delaware? I really don't want a car payment but spent the money I got from the insurance Co.
