Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning!
-14°c this am. Not bad. No need for block heater.
Visiting mom today, covid in the nursing home, great.
Then a little shopping im sure.
Found some control arm bushings, buddy’s truck needs new trailing arms and they are pretty pricey, shipping is nuts. So, gonna do the right thing and build a set. And these bushings are close. I cant find any stock for oe ones.

What that lad was cutting was more akin to LUMBER than the bamboo most Americans are used to seeing
Here's the interesting part. Right next to it was a immature coconut tree that had not developed any fruit yet. But it was in the way and we wanted it cut down. So we cut it down and he pulls the pulp out of the center of the stump and takes a bite out of it. Then he hands it to me. Apparently this is very common to eat the pulp of the coconut tree. So then he cut a section of the trunk so that he could get the pulp out of it and they're going to cook it and use it. But I ate it raw tasted fine. Taste a little bit like coconut to be honest with you. Lol

I have gotten myself in the habit of waking up at 4:30. I need to takesome melatonin or something. 6 hours of sleep isn't enough. No wonder why I take a nap after lunch! :BangHead: :mob:
Even with all the partying going on here in Vietnam I get up every morning at 4:00 a.m. to take her to yoga class to be there by 5:00 a.m. . Actually that's 6 days a week, not on Sunday. I still can't figure out how I'm still alive. Lol

Good Morning All, was up at 0100 then back to sleep. Mitch that's a lot of hard work Chins brother did there, ya gotta be tough to tangle with bamboo!

Just a large cut into 1/8 ths. I should buy a medium but then there wouldn't be any left overs.
We have a really good family owned pizza place in Gray. We usually get the little 8". Kitty likes the all meat and I like the one with everything. Most times, we only eat half and bring the other half home.

Santa brought me a bottle of adult beverage. It should bring a whole new meaning to a whiskey and soda. I'll have to go get it from the Express when daylight comes. It's very unusual to me. The Brat in Law didn't seem real anxious to try it with me while I was still at their place

has been cloudy and cool if you want to call that for a few days here in Vietnam. Probably low 80s during the day. If I was to look at the radar I would probably see some sort of storm in Southeast Asia right now..

Sposed to be back tonight. I looked up our rain totals and there was very little at this weather station, but most every previously dry creek I passed yesterday had flowing water.

I mentioned stealing the granbrats to go to Vado Speedway for the Wild West Shoot out. 6 yr old says "I'll go get my ear muffs!". 4 yr old says "I have ear muffs." and holds up her earbuds  6 yr old says "Those are not ear muffs! We have to go to Harbor Freight to get you ear muffs!"

Morning all a cold one here this morning but no white stuff.
Pizza, beer, and bamboo I've had my share of two of the three.
Yesterday I got the outside Christmas lights down. Cheryl came out to help and tripped coming down the front steps falling to a perfect face plant on the sidewalk. Took a few minutes to talk her through a self-check and see if anything was broken. All good just skinned up and a sprained ankle. I got her up and into the house for some ice and elevation.
Today, get the Christmas tree down and to the basement. Cheryl has a noon lunch holiday get together with friends she served with in Iraq. For some reason they decided to invite the spouses. It will be short have tickets to the basketball game cut that short to come home and watch the Chiefs try to wrap up the first seed.
A busy day but that's how we like it. Have a great day and be safe!!
