You got another job??? :realcrazy:

You go through them like Kotex...
Only had 3 in the last 9 years. But 3 in the last 18 months. The one I left my favorite job for ended up being complete and other bull crap and i got sick of their drama. Which is saying a lot.

Plus I finally got my certification and that opened new doors. I’ve gained about 25 percent on my salary in 18 months. Though this current job is still well below the state average for this cert. but it’s good team with good people and far less stress

So I’m no longer doing CAD work.

Another topic one your well-versed in... whiskey selection.
Best buddy this morning said he bought a bottle of expensive whiskey on a store recommendation, it taste like crap, and no one likes it.
I'm not sure what it is and he couldn't remember.
He likes Crown Black and is open for suggestions when you have time.
Dropping $250-300 is not a problem as long as it's drinkable.

Of course the store recommended that expensive crap whiskey, they wanted to get it off their shelf...

So spent the morning working on this quarter. Much much better, door can at least close now. Just need another little bit to match the other sides gaps.

Would you take a gun safety class from this guy?

He shot himself in the wrist handling a gun in October, now his daughter gets accidentally shot while taking a gun safety course that he was instructing?

Ald. Derrick Curtis Involved In An Accidental Shooting — Again

Daughter of Ald. Derrick Curtis suffered accidental gunshot wound during gun safety class he taught last week

I think I would take one from @Sublime one
Well could be like Pa - no classes or test needed. They can practice injuring themselves at their homes on their own.

Seriously. I think this only goes to show even something that should be good can be screwed up. It all comes down to people.
Be interesting to know who qualified this guy, and who designed and approved the class lesson plans.
IMO NRA's leadership made a mistake when they focused more on the political stuff. They used to be known as The Standard for sanctioning ranges, events, and personel. Nowadays that's become like a secret only known to insiders.

I took a ride up to the local circle track yesterday afternoon after hearing that it had a substantial water retention issue.

The report I heard was that the water was right up to the bottom of the concrete outer wall.
One or more of the drains must have been partially functional, the only water I saw was in the infield itself.
However, the track ambulance and tow trucks 2 were parked in the infield.
If the water was up to the wall those vehicles were completely submerged at one point. :BangHead:
They did have 2 or 3 USAC Sprint Car events on the books to be announced later.

I think the owner's costs just went up.
You would think the vehicles would haave been moved from the lowest spot on the property beforehand :realcrazy::BangHead:
Probably didn’t think you’d actually get that much rain

Curtis is a concealed-carry license instructor..... so I'm guessing state sanctioned. Doesn't look like they specifically require NRA instructor training just a state police approved course...

So, we go to the Sacom Bank to get the money. I sit there and watch about 12 stacks of money 6 in high each. Most of them are $500,000 dong each. They stuff them into a blue plastic shopping bag that says Sacom Bank on it, and that's that. On the upside, they do have armed guards at that bank. And one of the guys came in and escorted us out with the cash to the car. But that was it, see you later. Lol. Try doing anything like this in America???. Lol. Here's a pic of the cash in the bag and the bag itself. Couldn't help myself but take a pic of $3 billion dong Vietnamese money.

In the Carnival business it was always a cash only business. We, I, would every week take tens of thousands of dollars in cash, including sacks of 500 in quarters, dimes, and 200 dollar sacks of nickles. We would put the cash in bright orange plastic bags, because that is what we used in our class pitch, so they were handy. I never had a issue, but others in our line of work did. We had to use a dolly to move the cash into the bank. What a target!!! Hence the concealed carry permit...

Clearing up now a bit. I should be able to be constructive this afternoon.
Hope your doing better too
Mine is rough, but somewhat better. I went home. Can't do the loud noises and thinking today. Time for rest

Well, i tried tig. I do have a pedal, but the tungsten was short. No stock in town, so will have to revisit. Those damn holes were causing problems when i was trying to move some dents, so they got the mig. No more than 1/8” of filler when im done. Lots of grinding to do. Getting there.

OK. Now I have to dry out and do some research on Victory models.

Other than Crown, does he like bourbon, rye, or scotch? Crown is a Canadian blend and has a different flavor profile than most US spirits. Probably the closest would be something like this which happens to be one of my favorites. I picked up this Elijah Craig last night, their latest special release. It is pretty delicious with caramel/brown sugar flavors. Watch the proof on these two. Both are 120+ but smooth enough to "sip" neat.

Not sure on the rye but he doesn't like scotch. I'll pass on the Craig recommendation easy to remember...haha. I think I'll also give it a try. Thanks!!

Looks tasty. I like wholesome foods like that.
I'll admit I am a little worried. I have lost six kilos here in Vietnam since I've been here. That's about 13 lb. But the food I'm eating looks a lot like what Chris has in his bowl. Probably just the better intake of vegetables and fresh foods. I am still working out every day of the week here. I feel strong but I'm losing weight. Don't want to go below 82 kg. Maybe I need to drink more beer???
