Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got a little done on the firebird. Master cylinder ordered. Will replace it next week. Or maybe before i move it again. Better idea..

I hate being a bodyman at times I get bombarded this time of year with people wanting me to do them a favor now that I'm mostly retired. I don't mind helping someone out but when you have friends that only come around for a free "help me fix it" gets old real fast.

Well, replaced the rear tires, 245 60 R14 BFG with the same size new tire. New tires are about .5 inches narrower. No big deal, but I thought tires were supposed to adhere to a size standard?

Curious Tim on how much they cost I need to do the same thing on mine soon.

Went and worked out this morning for an hour. Now sitting at Cafe Lan enjoying breakfast. Hu Tieu Bo Tai. I'm told there's a party somewhere today. Lol.

I’ve seen sidewalls soften a bit with age and under weight, being a bit wider a than spec before. Especially on vehicles that sit for weeks on end… like tractors and grain trucks etc

If im working for free, it will be on my ****. No exceptions. My best friend gets help, but he does stuff for me. Most of my customers are my friends,so i would starve if i helped them all.

This is just the way the different tires were made.....designed....

Well, wife said she had a buyer for the tires, to be at the house between 4:30 and 5:00. At 4:35 she calls, guy is driving around TACOMA asking where is Oak Harbor......really? It's in the ad header AND it clearly says local pick up only, no deliveries. He was also rude telling her "that doesn't help me" when she's giving him landmarks figuring he halway knew the Island, guess some people you cannot help.

A majority of Humans suck

Was he the one person on the planet who doesn't have Google maps?

He might not know what that is. He then asked the wife if I had to be there to sell the tires, yes, and once figured out our location he tried to lowball, oh boy!

I find myself having to hold back. My son has gotten into legos big time, which I was as a kid. and I’ve been looking at finding some of the sets I had has a kid… good grief Charlie Brown, vintage legos are more expensive than a hemi Cuda these days… ok not entirely accurate but the value gain definitely is.

A hemi Cuda was what, 5-6k in 1970? They go for what, 100-150k unless ultra rare? So roughly 20-30 times the original value?

I just found the first Lego set i remember buying with money I saved from pulling weeds for the old lady next door.. cost me 11 bucks new at the Kmart… used, no box, $2315 and counting on eBay auction… the little Lego guy all by himself, sold for 357 bucks. From 1994…
