Stop in for a cup of coffee

Congratulations from your ol friend in Arkansas! Great new things happening in your life as usual. Hello to all , I hope your lady is doing well here in America.

What car are we working on ? Who's?
Scott’s 69 chevelle. Installing his rebuilt 454. Flipped the key and it fired off instantly! Runs good.

Mosquito crew carried out their first successful run of the starboard Merlin engine today . She ran a little rough at first , considering it was the first time in probably 80 years , but ' on three subsequent runs , the engine smoothed out and really purred . They are restoring a mosquito @ Windsor airport. Amazing !

So if you guys haven't seen me for a few days, it's because I basically been at the hospital since Monday at 5:00 a.m. The daughter began to have contractions early Monday morning at around 2:00 a.m. packed her and Mom up and took them to the hospital 15 minutes away from my house where her OBGYN doctor is. They decided that she was a little early, only 35 and a half weeks term. They were afraid that they were unable to take care of a preemie baby properly at that location. So they Chopper flew her to John's Hopkins in Baltimore. Mom and I followed in the car. I was here until 4:00 p.m. yesterday when I went home and left Chin here with the daughter. From what I understood she would not give birth for another day or two since she was not full term yet. She gave birth to a 5 lb 11 oz boy at 3:00 a.m. today Tuesday the 9th. She named him Ryan. I guess technically speaking this is grandchild number four for me. Lol. Daughter and baby will probably be here for 3 or 4 days before they let the baby go. We will see.

Congrats!!

so.. made my window stud washers out of leather.. so that's done.. waiting for some rubber dip to show up to cover the upper stops so they don't hit metal on metal.

My drivers door, when i close it the rod that goes from the handle to open the door, back to the latch sort of vibrates/rattles and i can't have that.. any tips? Was thinking of cutting a piece of hose lengthwise and putting it over the rod with some zip ties..

Put a bit of a kink in the rod to tighten it up then grease it. Not sure what type is on your car.

Few more items in motion.

I did have the water pump pulley in the box of "odds and ends" that came with the engine. It just needs to be cleaned up. eBay had the fan spacer, (correct part number) as well as the left exhaust manifold braces.

Congrats Pops! What is Pops in VN? We are now at I think 12 grand kids! They are so much more fun than kids! Enjoy Grampa!

Got home about an hour and a half ago. Had to get away from the crazy ladies. Cooked a nice filet and some taters. A couple of cold brews and time to nap the evening.

Do you put a small drain tube in the five gallon buckets or just put rock in the bottoms?
I have 6 inch plastic drain pipe rolled around the very bottom, that small pvc at the bottom is an over flow for the pipe not to get over 3/4 full, I have the ends covered with garden material that lets just the water to set in the pipe, the pipe on top is where I water it,, it goes in the drainage 6 inch pipe,, fill with a good fluffy garden mix (potting mix) .. look up wicking system potting. Can't believe I didn't take pictures as I built them

Drainage 4 or 6 inch is perforated so it sokes the very bottom and let's the water wick itself up to the plants roots

Well it has been a whirlwind last thirty hours or so. Our boy appeared on our doorstep yesterday with his two kids (14,10year olds)after rescuing them from his X down in Texas. He is on his way home to Clevland. Not sure how it is going to shake out but lots of changes and some court appearances are eminent. And all of this the day before Jodi has surgery this morning on her knee. Well good morning all y’all!

Always something in a family been there done that several times but in the long run it always seems to work out.
Good luck to Jodi sounds like you'll be fetching and cooking for a few days.
And tell her to remember she HAS to get up and move around even if she doesn't want to.
And if she gets to cranky pain meds do a great job putting them to sleep for a few hours of peace...haha!!

And how's your head feeling??

Good morning guys. My boy was by me last night. He pulled in and all I could smell is brakes. Ok, looks like we now had something to do, decided for us. Right rear caliper locked up. Then he says there is a shake when braking also. Well, decided to fix the bad one and order pads and rotors to fix the shake another day soon.
