Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
I bought this in 2019 from the neighborhood discount dealer.
I thought I was going to need it recently. Hospital is kicking me out.
Put me on blood thinners and rest.
One clot in right lung.
On in left leg.
Small amount of fluid around heart they found yesterday, doc said not a concern. He told me it's a result of the heart working harder Sunday when I had my episode. Thanks for all the well wishes and concerns.

Not going to need that anytime soon other than if you put wheels and an engine in it and drive it to a car show.

Lost me on that Chris.
I think I’ve told this story before but you prob didn’t see it or recall. Which is fine.

When I was just under 18 months old, my grandfather and uncles were building the 408 that is in what is now my 1978 power wagon. My uncle was supposed to be babysitting me and well I managed to walk away and ingest a bunch of mineral spirits. This was in the days before 911 and ambulance service out in our area, so the ER told my youngest uncle who was just 12 at the time, and my mom to force feed me ice cream as they made the half hour trek into the nearest hospital. My uncle would scoop it into my mouth as my mom held my mouth open and got me to swallow it. Supposedly ice cream neutralizes mineral spirits. Anyway, I spent 3 weeks in ICU on nothing but a vanilla ice cream diet.

I recovered but sadly less than a month later, my uncle , the 12 year old, was killed along with his friend in a tragic car crash

Wow tragic story for sure.

Wow tragic story for sure.
Yep it is for sure. I have the faintest memories of him. Like very faint. I’ve often wondered how things would be if he had lived.

I feel like every family has some sort of tragic situation at one point or another or sometimes multiple. Ours definitely didn’t help the family dynamics long term and it’s just compounded since.

Rain started. Saw 2 lightning strikes not far from here. And internet went down. Think i know where it hit…

So for grins, I checked the spark plugs. 2 were a bit wet, the rest a nice caramel color. The last drive was just about 4 miles and a few WOT stomps. I know it should be much more controlled than that, but it does tell me it isn't stupid lean. Also, I have the light silver and light blue springs and black stops. Chart says 18⁰ mechanical added to my initial 18⁰ and all in at about 2000. Maybe the manifold vacuum advance was part of it. So both rich and timing?

So they kicked you to the curb... not sure if that's good or bad but seems you still gave your dark wit about you Wolfie.

Me as well Fred. Very nice couple in their 80s. We have visits at the end of the driveway now and again. Have to keep the dog from knocking them both over, but they love to pet her and she loves the extra attention.
Have a old single gal next door to me I think she's 85 and try and help her out in her yard work. Yea I'm concerned about my neighbors and hope the younger generation around here helps older neighbors as well.

First, the charts may or may not be worth the paper they are printed on.
When a few have been verified then you can have some confidence the others may also be correct.

Using the chart with the 18* initial, my understanding is that was at 1000 rpm.
Lets look where that falls on the chart

So its telling us that at 1000 rpm the advance has moved out 2.5*
Looking at the Black bushing, that supposedly stops the advance at 17.5* advance, so 15* more.
It also indicates that will occur just above 2000 rpm which maches pretty close to the measurement you mentioned in the first PM.

So far the chart seems pretty close to your measurements. So that's good.

Yea wet. Darker than I like but only 5 seems really black.

It certainly seems like its not too lean in general.
This was my latest concern...add the air to correct the stumble and accidentally lean it out too much somewhere else. So far so good. Hopefully can test more tonight while my boy is here
