I wonder who owned the name.
Merged with Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) in '69 and sold off the Eastern stations to BP according to Wikipedia.

Gets confusing reading the current info there. Seems like the stations are privately owned name branded arrangement and so maybe not Sinclair refineries and/or distribution.

  • Produces and markets high-value light products, such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, renewable diesel and other specialty products. HF Sinclair owns and operates refineries located in Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Wyoming, Washington and Utah and markets its refined products principally in the Southwest U.S.; the Rocky Mountains extending into the Pacific Northwest; and other neighboring Plains states.
  • Supplies high-quality fuels to more than 1,300 independent Sinclair-branded stations and licenses the use of the Sinclair brand at more than 300 additional locations throughout the U.S.

Las Vegas police officers investigated reports of two unknown entities falling from the sky on the same night in late April that a family reported something 'not human' in their backyard.

One officer drove to a home on the night of April 30 and interviewed the family who called 911 after making the sighting, according to body camera footage obtained by USA TODAY. One of the family members told the officer they saw “a big creature” that was “long, 10 feet tall.”

The officer told the family he was looking into the claims because another officer saw something in the sky that matched the family’s description eight minutes earlier.

“I’m not going to BS, you guys. One of my partners said they saw something fall out of the sky, too, so that’s why I’m kind of curious,” the officer said. “It’s weird just the fact that our partner saw something at the exact time."
Ok wow I was joking but wow

Morning!
Nice morning here.
06:00 and the float planes are throttling up and rattling windows. I’m used to it, after almost 20 years.
Slept most of the night, woke up at 01:00 for a potty break and right back to sleep. First time in weeks. CBD maybe helped?
3 gummies seem to be the magic number.
I took 2 the night before and slept better. So i figured try 3. Tonight will be trying 3 again.

I keep waiting for Godzilla to come out of the ocean where that nuke plant is stilling leaking radiation into

What's the weirdest thing you ever experienced?

Mine was when I was working for a company that sandblasted. We were taking the lead paint off the walls that was in a mental institution (Creedmoor) In NY. Wel it was getting toward dusk and we had to shut the lights off and lock it up. Well we did then we go out to the truck and see light from a upper room window. Ok A few of us went up their creepy place to start with so always went in twos. These candles are set upin a pentagram lit. Ok weird, in what we called a strong room with a serious metal door on it. Blow them out, lock the door and leave. No one is supposed to be in the building but us. Go out to the truck hear a freaking screeching metal sound and look up the window is glowing again. OK WTF! Go up the door is bent in half Alost and the candles are re lit. Call security and just get the hell out of there. Most of us refused to go back and finish that job. Really freaking weird especially in a mental institute!

Mine would have to be the experience I had in 2011. The Saturday morning hours after thanksgiving, roughly 0200.

I was working security on an old state mental hospital turned military training site. Myself and my supervisor were doing our nightly patrols of the roughly 85 buildings. It was a dead weekend for training so we had to do interior checks too. Well one of the building, building 11 was 4 stories, 3 above, one below ground. So we entered the main foray, then headed up to the top floor, worked our way thru the rooms ones by one, locking all the doors behind us.

The basement is a wide open room, with an emergency staircase on the opposite corner. There’s was nothing but a steel folding chair in this room. And it was right next to the main stair case, up against the wall, folded out as if one was going to use it. We locked the main stair case door and walked the roughly 100 feet or so to the emergency stair case, the only other entry/exit to this basement. We went out and no later than my hand lifting off the door knob after locking it behind us, there was a very loud bang as something hit the stairway door. We tired to go back in, but the door would only open so far like it was blocked by something.

So we called it in, the camera operator switched to that camera as the two of us re-entered the main stairway and proceeded to the basement, guns drawn of course. What we found shocked the **** out of us.

The steel chair that was previously leaning against the wall by the main staircase was now bent and Jammed against the door to the emergency stair case!!

Naturally, we thought someone just have been in the building. We then did a room by room search while the camera operator watched the 9 cameras on this building that showed the inside and all four sides exterior plus the roof. Nothing was found.

Well about an hour later, the camera operator calls us to the office. He had been replaying the video footage. No one had entered or exited that building except for us in 3 days time. But what he found I still can’t explain.

One of the 9 cameras is inside the basement, above the main stair case and points to the door of the emergency staircase. He played it back, it showed us walking across the basement to the emergency stair case door, exiting and closing the door. But it also showed that steel chair, rapidly sliding across the floor until about 20 feet away when the chair lifted from the floor and appeared to be thrown into the door!

I couldn't handle that I be out of there real fast.

wow lucky me I've never had any experiences with ghosts.

That was the weirdest of multiple weird events that would happen. Most often in winter months too which never seemed to make sense other than it was when the base was all but deserted

Those places are definately creepy. Any one ever go to the Arizona Memorial? Definitely get a feeling there every time I went with visitors.

I’m not willing to say it was ghosts. I’m just not sure.

There was another incident a few weeks later. We had a platoon of Marines from the 24th MEU on base, staying in that building. 33 of them. They’d just rotated back from deployment overseas. Well about 0100 we heard screams coming from building 11, which was maybe 400 yards from our security office, went running over, and here’s 33 marines scrambling out of every exit there was on that building. Scared shitless. I ask their PL, wtf. He said something was in there , pulling off their blankets as they slept, moving their rifles and gear and finally , their CQ saw a steel chair fly across the room on the second floor and hit a wall, he screamed for everyone to get out.

Now mind you, only 3 people ever knew about our incident just 3 weeks earlier and none of them were the marines.

That is said to been cursed. The legend goes that the Arizona will bleed its oil until the last survivor of Pearl Harbor dies.

Just a really solem feeling. You can feel something there. I actually reenlisted there just next to it.
