Drill for grease fittings, care to explain?Got all my wiper stuff out now. Had to unfreeze the shafts, and I'll drill for grease fittings and all. I know Tims is a whole different situation with his cowl and all. Just got rid of some stop by shop company. Now I can git to work.
one good shake!
Alright, shoot me all you can spare! Whatever I want to get over here is a dollar. Two pounds is not much I would think 6-8 of the new fasteners so you get a nice assortment to have on hand.
I kinda like the bolts with washers attached. Those are only available through specialty shops and are very not cheap.cant he get the new stuff there, or no SAE available? couldn't he use washers found locally even if they are metric?

Hey! That's from Ford Fairlane!Rosanne Barr naked!! Works everytime!!!
Sounds like a good idea in my climate zone ...If you drill the pivots and install grease zerk fittings in them, you can grease them with axle grease for extended life.
Some of the new seal kits come with the fittings...

Hi, by the way! You seem to be real busy these days. Don't see much of you here. Not that I'm complaining.
Those are available in hardware stores here, but somewhat limited. Mopar used a lot of different hardware. Including diff size/types of washers. some were solid to the fastener. Others are what they call a captive washer that is loose as far as turning, but cant be removed. there are also flange bolts where the head is a little wider, but not really a washer. I don't care if every bolt on mine is OEM, but a lot of times standard bolt don't quite do the same job.I kinda like the bolts with washers attached. The thing is that the PO replaced a lot of bolts with metric ones. I don't mind an awful lot and I wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars replacing them but if I can find inexpensive bolts to replace them I will. It hurts my eyes to have different bolts in a row. Plus the ones he put on there have very different surface treatment so they really stick out. Those are available in hardware stores here, but somewhat limited. Mopar used a lot of different hardware. I wouldn't feel bad. If it's stuff he doesn't need, he is probably glad to see it get used. There are other ways to return the favor. Hoppy needed windshield install help. He gave me a motor. He then gave me wheels. I build him a table. None of which was ever a 'deal', just helping each other out...The thing is that the PO replaced a lot of bolts with metric ones. And of course all the bolts that go into the engine or frame rails have to be SAE. I have some of them but not all. The fine thread ones are not so easy to find.
65dartcharger has a heck of a lot of bolts (and other stuff) but he refuses to charge me so I can't keep asking him. Makes me feel bad.
One of my all time favorite dumbass movies..Hey! That's from Ford Fairlane!
