Stop in for a cup of coffee

LOL - weird thing is, the thermostat was in there!!!
With no thermostat, like for racing only, you dont need the bypass. Like im telling you something new!

moi? believe it or not - - not this time - - you won't be able to see them so... :D
That's what I thought. Aren't they normal 1/2" pipe thread?
I guess he wants some fancy black phosphate coating ...

Ok, any chevy men or ladies here, I am looking to help a friend and he asked me to sell this nice old piece from the 70'es, matching carbs and linkage go with it.
Ok, this may not be ethical to do this in this thread but just had to ask.

Actually shoot me a pm with some more information on them...I may know someone who is looking for them.

you kinda hit on something there Anders - me bitching about $13 each for the correct Mopar type inlet pieces but I HAD to have the fancy black RPM intake...

keep the engine coolant moving before it reaches fully operational temps and the T stat opens
I get it. When cold, the coolant would not circulate at all without the bypass. When hot, the water goes through the thermostat and the radiator. But some flow would still go through the bypass, right?

So really, when the engine gets warm, the bypass should be closed for maximum cooling?

Slept in after long day yesterday, peeked out the window and whoa three of the baby birds are out of the nest and near the outside of the shrub. The Mom and Dad keep coming and flying to the next shrub to give them the idea. One looked like he was going to do it then they took a lunch break and rested. Oh wait, now all four are out of the nest. Oh my gosh it just happened one flew!!

I suppose so - but of course there's some engineering you don't want to chase and it is only a 1" ID hose..

one flew over the Cardinals nest...

That's exactly what it did!! It looked like they were going to take off from the side of the shrub but this one was at the top over the nest and away he or she went! A few shrubs over I think because Mom and Dad were over there for a while. Now another one is climbing up to the top. Maybe when they were around the side they were getting used to standing and jumping around.

Dave - you never got us any pics of all this?

I have pics just not figured out how to download on this computer...I always used my laptop before...But I will post em up when I do. I guess I won't be able to see the birds easily after today, since they'll be moving around on their own!

Ooh ALMOST.... Mom and Dad were coaxing this little guy, but he couldn't quite get it, flapping his wings hard but he hasn't mastered the jumping-off part, kept getting hung up in the leaves. Looks like he's resting up for another try later on.

pretty cool stuff Dave - we had a male and female Grosbeak on our suet feeder this morning and we put out an orange sugar water feeder with an orange on it the other days because we saw an Oriole way out in the back yard – well one of them found the feeder this morning – it was cool - - they are usually skittish and stay up higher and won’t come too close to the house.. we have also had an Indigo Bunting already this year..
