Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning. I really like the Name That Tune thread. There are so many great lyrics out there to enjoy.

Last night's full moon was beautiful, but the last few nights at work you could tell people were acting weird. I just read about myself on Tripadvisor, a bad review and they mentioned me by name. Three 21-year-old guys were wearing jeans, so they couldn't sit in the dining room, I told them they could have a nice dinner in the lounge if they didn't want to change clothes...I went on to serve them...everything seemed fine. They said I was the "snobbiest waiter" and "treated them like children and talked down to them." Not a huge deal, but I'll have to explain what happened to my boss, and now everyone will read that review of me on the internet, which just tells their version of the story. I really tried to give them a great dinner....sigh.

Anyways nothing I can do about that and it's a minor thing in the big picture. I've got the next two days off, definitely going to the beach for an attitude adjustment!

The world is full of jackasses. Try to focus on the others.

Thanks Ben, that is exactly right. Gotta focus on the thousands of nice folks who enjoy me waiting on them.

The cowards. Make no mention of it at the time but brand you when they can be anonymous.
Internet reviews are an abomination. They're all either fives or ones. Anything less than perfect gets a one and only the really pleased or really pissed off ones actually bother to leave a review. I usually take reviews with a large grain of salt. They can be an indication and if you look for phrases like "do not - under any circumstances", "extreme fire hazard" and "rats in the dining hall" you should maybe reconsider.

Thanks Anders. These really were practically kids so I can give them a break, but the people reading the review don't know that.

Normally I let the management handle telling people about the dress code but I happened to be standing there when they came walking up. I'll be letting the management tell them from now on!

When you're a 21 year old wearing jeans to a restaurant that doesn't allow it....then you are a child. And a jackass.
Money does not equate to class.

'Mornin all.

I may need it. Much better chance of actually doing my job today since I'm fully staffed but the wait begins and need to stay occupied or the boredom kills.

I was going to do a bon-fire to clean up the yard right at dawn ....even got a burn permit yesterday ..

but it is sooooo windy this morning. I wouldn't even weld outside with this wind so kinda ruined my fun, because I like bon fires. I like to pour a bit too much gas so I can feel and hear the WAAWHOOOSH like it means it. :realcrazy:
Rani, take a large old fire extinguisher , fill it 2/3 with diesel or kero, charge with 100 psi air, at end of hose clamp a small burning rag and aim at the base of what you want lit, the squeeze trigger. talk about whoosh!

We talked her into doing a trade for some ammo a while ago and went RANIBO for a while on the raccoons in her shop!

Nice, Give here some ideas! LOL
Ok :D
