Stop in for a cup of coffee

Taking my MIL out for breakfast this morning at the Diner. We don’t have Diners around us and definitely miss them, gotta take advantage…….
Ok here in the Midwest we don't use the word, Diner. To better understand I'm thinking a Diner is like our small town locally owned restaurants??

It's kindof like a lunchenette but expanded to cover dinner, late night desert, etc

Hey Hoppy what kind of mileage would I get out of a motorhome like yours only with a 460?

There's a couple of true diners in town. Mostly you have these small breakfast/ lunch places that are conveted from small houses along the road. Breakfast and burgers

First one I really remember was in Vermont. Still had an big Uncle Sam Wants You poster on the wall. We were still in Vietnam so I'm sure everyone got the message (except me - I was too young to realize how devisive the war was.)

The older ones mosty use a prefab streamlined look on the outside with booths and counter inside.

Newer ones a bit more variety. The Greek ones tend to have more tables and some greek food thrown in. All depends.

This famous one in South Philadelphia just got torn down (developer is building somehting big of course)

Have a restaurant 3 blocks from my house that has been there since 1888 and hasn't changed much.
Food is OK but nothing to brag about.
