Morning everyone, lots of bang bang and old boss talk in here today, I like it. My carry gun is a Colt Mustang fits nice inside my waistband.
One more nice day then snow for tomorrow they say.

Hmm, I need to look at one, never seen a Colt Mustang, what caliber?
Me, just a cheep but great fitting Torus P111, G2 9mm, a flawless carry pistol

Good luck, remember the objective is to stay current. It is not to see if you are still as fast as you were! With your skill set you should have zero issue. That B27 ain’t getting any smaller! Have fun hanging with the boys!
You know better, I only have one speed shooting 10 yards and closer...FAST. There just two of us early birds to start the Rangemaster's day. When I got back to the 25-yard line he told me I hadn't missed and could save my last 10 rounds if I wanted. It's a pass/fail qualification. I told him I didn't shoot much so I'd just go ahead and finish it out. Good for another year.

Congrats! Most guys score heavy on front end so they don’t have to sweat the 25 yd. It never ceases to amaze me how folks fall apart at 25. Civilians and LEOs. I am heading to Federal LEO firearms training center tomorrow in LR. Going to tour the facility and prep for teaching 18-20 Fed firearms instructors In a couple of weeks. I got the gig by shooting against their Boss at 25 yard line! We had to get 90 points on a B8 at twenty five yards (slow fire) to pass the class and attain an instructors rating in that discipline. I made it, he did not. In fact only two of us were able to pass shooting aspect, it was hard. At end of session he asked me if I would come train his Instructors. You just never know who you are shooting against in this industry. For those not familiar, a B8 in the black is about the size of your fist, to score 90 you can’t drop out of the black with any of your shots. It is a bit harder to do than it sounds. Ask all the young SWAT guys that failed. Gotta watch the old fat farmer who only carries one pistol rain or shine!

I have a Mustang as well, I like it. Although I lose it on occasion! I forget where it is it is so comfy!

Invariably I get a student on a timed exercise drill that after failing multiple times gives me the slow is smooth speech. I very carefully explain par is ten seconds, you are consistently shooting 12. While I agree slow is smooth and smooth can be fast, today, slow is just slow. Pick up the pace!

Thats what you had on your side on your visit here, I wished I would have looked at it now, thank you for the insight ( no pun ment ) at 25 yards I would be lucky to get 3 out of 9 with my G2 9mm. I will keep shooting, but I mainly do exercises, like pull and not shoot, pull and shoot, drop a mag and reload, pick my walk about and then I am done, staying familiar with it.

That is about a hundred times more training and work than most folks do. You just keep doing that and you will be fine!

Getting things ready to pull the oil filter adapter off I was gifted by a member here, had a leak on top, next to my block, my fault I am sure, another thanks for the Christmas gift 2 years ago @66340SEDAN
