That willys is sooo cool.... I think most of my love of cars goes back to the movie Hot Rod... starts out with a black fury... ends with a badass hemi coupe :) saw it when i was like 8...

Another one is a friends 71 charger 440-6 MT. Did his dist., he is local, went for a ride nails it freaking front end went up a bit and he smells smoke. I think my clutch is going! Nio silly that's your tires smoking! Seriously!

I do the same with my 64 but they always get the $20, I guess the 225 is slower?
Guy I knew in the desert long ago '64 Plymouth Savoy with a 361, he put a $20 on the dash and you could keep it if you could grab it when he nailed it. Nobody ever got the 20

A few years back I had a 71 442. I had my then seven-year-old daughter riding with me driving through the countryside when I stopped in the middle of the road. I popped it and we sat there the tires smoking drifting through the open windows. I stopped and she looks at me and said, "what's that smell??" I reply that's the smell of burning rubber...she smiles and said, "do it again" and I did. :D

I saw that thread, i am actually kind of curious what the min power that would be needed to lift the front left... of course every car is different so can't really say... 500hp with 4.88's and slicks?
He needs a tall rear gear, lot's of tire and some long ladder bars. Hooking up on the street enough to pop a wheelie is pretty tough.

yeah.. i have 4.57's and will be using caltracs but will never have traction or power to lift a wheel.. especially on the street
