It's Wet 'em down Wednesday!

Shutting it down and think I'll not get a new one.
In the future, if paying at the pump, check for two things. By law, there’s supposed to be an anti-tamper seal on the panel for the credit card reader, if it’s missing or otherwise not sealed, report it to the station.

Also, give a gentle shake on the card reader itself. Some have become very hard to detect visually but they’ve yet to discover a good method to get them to adhere to the real one. A slight shake and they typically fall off or pull out. I’ve found two over the last 5 years at the closest station to my house, which is located right off the interstate, by using this method.

Would like to buy more on the internet but not sure if it's a good idea so I don't

I have a virtual card that I run through PayPal, so buyers don't see my actual card number... I've had very good results. I also run a secure browser, strong anti-virus and VPN client. Keeping Apps updated is also very important. Some if not most of those updates are fixing identified security risks and vulnerabilities. I also avoid sketchy sites that either my A-V tells me to run away from, or that just feel weird with lots of pop-ups or crap design.

Just like picking a gas station or store in an unfamiliar city.
I like the Fold card. You can load it via PayPal and use it like a prepaid credit card. It gives you cash in the form of Bitcoin, which I made 200 bucks off of last 3 months, and it’s maybe 125 of that in the actual cash back amount. It’s also totally secure, no SSN required, only name and address. There’s a slight fee for loading it but it’s Minimal if you just load once a month like I do.

I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that the night clerk here is paid off to look the other way
