Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have to get the plumber over here. I have a toilet leaking sewer gas. Original lead waste pipe and I'm not messing with it.

Things get fragile. Sounds like a wax ring .. but not sure if it's some old credit design
I'm sure it is. I was in there a dozen years ago and it wasn't pretty. Wait a day for the plumber or attempt it again? I know the floor isn't the best under the flange. We don't need a floor rebuild now. Original floor tile. :BangHead: :BangHead:

I think I'll pull the toilet for a look see. If it is that bad underneath I can cap it and call in reinforcements.

Mike they do make a wax ring that is taller than a standard one.
Yep. I used one last time if I remember. I think it's an odd size (not 4") and the top of the pipe is lead. I called Bill (plumber) and he can come this afternoon. Older guy with a lot of knowledge and tricks. I need to ask him about the sink faucets as well. The wife asked about replacements. I can rebuild them but they are 100 years old and worn out. THis looks interesting as long as the lead lined pipe is round.
