They are ok for people that don't want to know how to use a computer.. and for older people that want to facetime with their grandkids.. the facetime thing is the main thing that gets people onboard..
She’s mainly wanting it for professional photo editing. She’s finally starting a hobby after decades of denying she needs one. Haha

I got her a really nice Nikon a few weeks ago and she’s wanting either the mini-MAC or the MAC pro

Good luck. I can see where the wear on howling R&P gears can't be corrected once the damage is done. @lkopaska have you had much luck quieting worn gears down?
Not much , depends on how much they. We're run.
Biggest issue is on some after market gear companies sets they are not finished cut and they will never be quite even with a nice pattern.

Don't need a mac for that.. Also.. she should look into a program called GIMP.. it was made for linux and is now on PC and probably mac.. it's like photoshop but 100% free.. great program.

Need a new computer. Our non-work issued ones are nearly 12 years old and have barely 4GB ram

Huge fan of Monty Python. Years ago, I used to come home from partying with my buddies and would watch Bennie Hill with my dad!!!

Interesting. Would need to know what the trouble codes are. Now what comes to mind is low voltage during crank after sitting. Borderline weak battery or a parasitic draw. My avalanche has a parasitic draw i have yet to find. And abs gets goofy if i start it when battery is low. Restart after a minute or two and fault clears.
I actually forgot that thing has self diagnostics. Will check for codes tomorrow morning. Not sure how old that battery is. Will check that. Not having other power problems though. Starts fine.
