Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well the car started without a jump but it cranked pretty slow. Bad cell I am betting. I won't get a chance to take care of that till tomorrow I bet.

Good evening all. We are watching the weather as well around here. looking like the weather window for our crew change on the 11th may have moved us to the 12th. All good. Another day rate on the paycheck.

Got home after a 3 hour drive and a 14+ volt charge. I pulled out the tester and the voltage was just over 12. I tested it and it loaded to 525 amps. It's a 780. Yep, it needs a battery. 6 years and it's time. With the auto stop it has to be a little hard on it (and the starter) Oh and it's a AGM. Advance Auto down the street has one. Clarios makes them. They also make Die Hard and Delco. That
s what I'll get. At least if I have an issue there are stores around where I can get it checked and warranted.

The delcos are having quality issues right now that I would suggest steering away from. We've had multiple new cars off of the truck with dead batteries that wont hold a charge.

Yep, low bid to save money. Wal Mart would be better. East Penn and Johnson Controls makes theirs. I might check a few dealers around town that handle Interstate. I have had good luck there.

Take battery out and drop it about two feet onto its head a few times. Fixes lots of bad battery's that way...

If it was my driver truck I would. Because it's the wife's daily driver and it's 6 years old and has to set outside all day during sub zero temps, I think i'll just slide in a new one. I really don't want to nurse this one along.

Morning or Monday moaning for the time clock punchers in here. Cold today, and then a gradual warming to the mid 50's later this week with 60's next Saturday. Not much going on this week a couple appointments, the gym, and usual stuff around the house.
