Speaking of Ricks, my uncle was Richard. No one ever called him Rick or Rich or even Richie, but he was always a Dick. In more ways than one.So if Freds full name is Fredrick, why isnt Rick’s name Rickfred?
That’s a question asked by my kid brother when he was about 3. That would be from 50 years ago.
My uncle Rick was a great guy and street racer. The first car I remember him having was a 60 Chevy with a 348 powerglide. My other uncle, Jerry had another 60 Chevy with a 283 powerpack and a 3 on the tree and they raced each other all the time. About 65 uncle Rick bought a Chrysler 300 with a 440. My other uncle stayed with Chevy's (lost a lot) haha. Then uncle Rick in 69 purchased a 69 Charger R/T 440/auto and had the engine built. Then his son bought it from him when he got home from Vietnam and he bought himself a 71 Charger R/T 440/4 spd. Dana 60 car. My cousin still has the 69 Charger and I just sold the 71.Speaking of Ricks, my uncle was Richard. No one ever called him Rick or Rich or even Richie, but he was always a Dick. In more ways than one.
