Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning

Woke up to the news that my father in law has passed away. We used to be as close as in-laws could be but the events from two years ago, we became estranged. By his own choosing. Wife is acting numb to it as she says she’s been dead in his mind since but I think it’ll hit her hard very soon.

Sorry to hear...

Yes, she is in it now.

It's important for her to follow the doc's instructions with the leg brace...

Also follow up with physical therapy....

My son couldn't get physical therapy because the insurance company denied coverage... They denied the surgery bills after telling us it was fully covered the week before the surgery, and they denied him physical therapy which has hurt his recovery... He still has issues with his leg today... However they did cover the cost of the leg brace rental... If they covered the leg brace he did have insurance, it makes no sense that they denied the surgery and physical therapy except just to save themselves $$$$ and not give a **** about my son and his well-being... I spoke to some lawyers, but none of them would take the case... That is why I feel that CEO deserved to get shot.... And I refuse to send him thoughts and prayers because they are out of network...

Is it me or is there far more coverage of the fires destroying the movie stars and also the promise of money than the storm damage of the East coast and the $750 given to them?

I already knew I was on the outs with my ex-Vietnamese wife before I came back to Vietnam. I called a friend of mine who lives in the city who speaks very good English, in fact, he is a translator. Asked him to help me rent a house. So as soon as I got here I went to my old house and got my motorbike and my clothes and rented a nice house in the center of the city. Has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, three floors, everything one would need. Kitchen with refrigerator and stove, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, washer machine, everything. Only 300 bucks a month. Hard to believe huh?

Good to see you're bouncing back...

Not dwelling on the past, but looking to the future...

Good morning, Friday fans almost 6am here. Souds like a busy time here in the coffee house prayers and thoughts out to @Sublime one and @dukeboy440. Looked back the past six days since we arrived over 100,000 steps 40 something miles worth lots of walking. Headed over this morning to the Sony Open a PGA event. We have two friends Gary Woodland and Sam Stevens both PGA professionals who're playing. We went last year and had a great time. The military is a big sponsor for this event free entry and a huge tent tables and chairs providing cold beverages and lunch grilled burgers, hot dogs, and chicken with all the fixings a great place to take a break. Have a great day!!

What do the pups think?

Here's what the pups think...

today her barn burned down. an Emu was sick and her son put a heat lamp in for it and the Emu must have knocked it over into the straw.

Has her son ever heard of Mrs. O'Leary's cow and the great Chicago Fire???

It's a little late now, but you may want to tell him about it for me...

Just got back from helping to fight a barn fire. My neighbor lady lost her Husband to a blood clot the day before Thanksgiving. He had a valve replacement in his heart and they sent him home because he was doing so well. Sitting on the couch watching TV he died. That was Thanksgiving. today her barn burned down. an Emu was sick and her son put a heat lamp in for it and the Emu must have knocked it over into the straw. Total loss plus a brand new forRunner, a camper bought last summer. a newer truck and a couple side by sides and a boat. everything was close to the barn and it is thick with pine trees but not anymore. I went over with my little tractor and got there when the fire companies did. She was at work and her 2 sons were in school. She is really feeling lost.

Sorry to hear about her bad luck...

Sorry to hear. Hopefully all insured and they pay up without a runaround.
I lost a friend New Years Eve... John was 84 and had also recently had heart valve replacement. Had some initial complications, but seemed to be doing very well for a few weeks. I didn’t get all the details, but he was back in the hospital when he passed.

Sorry about your friend...

The insurance company won't pay up without a runaround, it's standard procedure for them.... :icon_fU:

Smokey The Bear turned 80 last week.
Only You can prevent Forest Fires.
Sad that the department that started and put out that message all these years couldn't follow it.

Two friars are having trouble paying off the belfry, so they open a florist shop. Everyone wants to buy flowers from the men of God so business is quickly booming.

The florist across town sees a huge drop in sales and asks the two friars to close their shop, but they refuse. A month later the florist begs the friars to close because he’s having trouble feeding his family. Again, they refuse, so the florist hires Hugh McTaggert.

Hugh is the roughest, toughest thug in town and is hired to “persuade” the friars to close. Hugh asks the friars to close their florist shop. When they refuse, he threatens to beat the crap out of them and wreck their shop every day they remain open, so they close.

This proves once again that Hugh and only Hugh can prevent florist friars.

Anyone have any good news today?

I ordered the 6th pizza from Dominos today so I get a free pizza... My points expire tomorrow if I didn't order today...

In addition I qualified for a free "emergency pizza" that I have to cash in by March...

So if I use the emergency pizza first on the next order, then cash in the free pizza from collecting 60 points on another order after that, I should be getting 2 free pizzas...

(That's all I got...)
