Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'm still fortunate that the Advance Auto / Car quest distribution center has a parts store up front staffed by older adults. The guys are good about getting past the bs and have access to the warehouse inventory as well

Our local NAPA had a catalog rack. The new manager took them out. :mob: :mob: :mob:
When I sold my Parts Stores to Carquest, I brought many of the catalogs home with me. Especially the older ones for Ignition, Brakes Chassis Parts, Filters,Etc......Really comes in handy.....

I think I can still ID a lot of Ign parts just by eye.....
I bet you can. I have forgotten a lot of numbers but I was only at the parts store 3 years or so. Champion Rebuild, Fitzgerald gaskets then Fel Pro, Airtex pumps, TRW engine and chassis components, Walker exhaust. We sold all the good stuff. And of course all the HP speed shop stuff.

Being in the middle of the Mojave Desert as a youth had it's disadvantages  when it came to good parts stores. A fun example was Jay's Bike Shop  one side of his showroom was all the new Schwinn bicycles. The other side looked like 1/4 of the showroom at San Bernardino Racing

We have an A&A auto parts store here. They still have the catalogs and the guys are pretty knowledgeable. Downside is their hours are old school and sometimes they have to order the part, but at least they know what they are talking about.
