Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Good evening folks. I was organizing some of the stuff in the basement today and came across this little gem. It's my grandfather's ash tray from his old service station. It sat on his big old metal desk in the office (usually with his cigar burning in it) for as long as I can remember.

Probably still smells like cigars. Great keepsake. Thanks for sharing.

Dug this out of the barn. Would thus not make a cool rat rod dash

I'd be hard pressed to find an ashtray of any kind around here..haven't smoked (cigarettes) in a LONG LONG time
I have a huffy yellow submarine bike. Promotional item they only made around 500. My families business used to make parts for Huffy among others. My uncle was able to get a few from them. Mine has been sitting since 68.

Very cool...I really wanted one of my Grandpa's ashtrays but couldn't find any, unfortunately after he died, his part of the house became the site of my stepmother's hoarding, ugh! I did rescue a large, framed photograph of him I don't remember seeing, looking like a business tycoon. Even though he was far from wealthy, he always looked good.

Always nice to have something to remember a loved one from.

My first two wheel bike was a Huffy...

Bought it at Ace Hardware....

Very cool.

To be honest I never really rode it. At the time I was 17 and more into cars.
It needs restored. It took me about a year to do that Schwinn for my grandson. That was originally my sons bike.
