Stop in for a cup of coffee

Finally finished the engine harnesses up yesterday now I am waiting on the battery cable again. I cut a few feet off before running it and now it is a foot short! DUH!

At least I have enough NOW to finish all the small runs for it.

Measure twice, cut once...

Dammit I torture myself with Craigslist. My old friends remember me and my Fury's. I've had a '64, a '66, and a '67, all bought as transportation because we all know if you take care of a Mopar it will still serve you. Well this '71 is a natural progression. Like all my others, a grandpa's car found in a small town. Look how straight it is. It's even presentable enough to belong in this gated island place where I live now. He had it at $4000 now it's $3000.
1971 mopar Plymouth fury 3

Nice car...

And the 360 will be a great engine for it. Enough torque to get that big boat moving...

Plus it's the original 71 360 with the thicker bore cores in it, and the higher compression... The best year of the 360...

Go for it if you want...

she's no gas sipper - but so what!?!

With the proper intake, it can get a little better...

An SP2P or a dual port-dual plane offy.... Great low end intakes, but a little restrictive over 5000 RPM, but who's gonna do that in a Fury, you need low end and mid range for that car...

I'd like to find a 64 sport fury, 383 4 speed. Was my grandfather's first car and first mopar. Bought new.

My dad's first new car was a 62 sport Fury convertible with a 361... He special ordered from the dealer in town where he went to college... White with blue interior...

With dad being a lefty, he loved the push button trans with the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel... He would go down the quarter mile and push the buttons... He only lost one race when the "dumb Hawaiians" put him in the wrong class....

Shortly after he got his, then they came out with the 383 in it...

Mom out ran a Honolulu detective in it once...

oh - Ray is a master instigator - - I like to :poke: a little here and there - - not sure what you'd call Chris - - oh yea, Mater... does that make him the master mater apprentice?

I like to :poke: a little here and there - Me too, if she will let me.... :D

throw caution to the wind - call your bank and get a small personal loan... strike while the coals are hot!
I have visions of that happening at the Nats. Call the bank, buy the car and drive it home. Momma ain't gonna like this! Lol
