I'll be honest, I didn't understand most of that. It's close to 3:30 pm. Friday. :)
 
Speakin' (a week ago) of the 1900's and more recently of hotrodded cars nobody'd much want for any other purpose, who's hotrodded a 70's-or-thereabouts guitar? Mine's an Olympic white '73 Squier strat with '86 G&L ASAT magnetic field electronics and a '79 Fender perlite pickguard. It's a plank, very slappy, way good for funk.
 
Finally found someone to frame this project for me. Like pullin Hens teeth to get anyone that wants to work around here !!:BangHead:
 
Looks like I'll be getting ten of those starter terminal relocation kits. Should be able to sell them eventually.

Yeah well, it's slappy. I have a Washburn bass. It's way slappy. Best bass slappin' I can think of quick was this one of Sara Lee when she was 22. Look familiar? Years later she was the girl in the bathtub in the Love Shack video.
And that's a modified Precision she's slappin' heck out of - a distinctly non-slappy bass. I traded guitars with our Underwear Optional bassist Wendy for a while cuz she wanted slappin' practice, and I'll tell ya', her Precision wouldn't slap for s4i+. But Sara's had a Badass bridge put on this one so that oughta raise and stiffen it up some.
