Stop in for a cup of coffee

I bought me a 2008 PT Cruiser yesterday Hops. The old Chrysler just needs too much work. $600 if you want to buy it.

Chris how many times you been in the sandbox?
0. Was supposed to go in 2008, went thru the premob training for 3 months, about 3 weeks before we were supposed to leave Fort Drum, I went down during training, tore my ACL, PATELLA tendon and a chippedal a meniscus disc in my knee. I was on the operating table when the plane took off.

Haunts me to this day.

I never thought that when Marilyn said let me take your picture it would come back time after time after time after time......

We had a guy in Cali that fell off his roof into some bushes and impaled himself the day before deploying and had to pull this other guy that was not going to replace him. He was a PIA the whole deployment.

That's a hell of a way to get out of it!
I didn't want out of it. And like I said, haunts me to this day. My unit got hit hard. The unit was hit heavy and often. They split the unit , 1 Platoon did Personal security details, the other 2 rotated between convoy security and foot patrols in the Sunni Triangle of death. Not everyone came back on their own, some came back in a box.

We lost 3, and had dozens injured. I got stuck filing the reports back here in the states. Pics that you never want to see. Part of me is glad I wasn't there but part of me wishes I was. Maybe had i...... nevermind

That does suck Chris. You guys had it rough over there for sure. AF was pretty easy go for three months, then we usually went back pretty soon. Rescue was cool but really was a needed thing over there for sure. I have been there around 12 times. Really hard on the kids growing up.

Yeah. That's why I'm at the crossroads I'm at.
