I know that feeling all too well. My 2.5 yr old is an escape artist so I have to wait until she's fully asleep before we can go to bed. Baby gates, deadbolts, door knob covers, nothing works. Thinking of getting deadbolts that need a key to lock and unlock from both sides

The kid I'm talking about is 25.... :poke:

He went to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit yesterday, and then drove home... :steering:

He's probably jet-lagged from the trip... :(

My youngest son was an escape artist. At 1 1/2 years old one morning while the wife was asleep and I was at work; he climbed out of his crib, opened his bedroom door, wend downstairs, climbed over a dog gate, opened the dead bolt for the back door in the kitchen, then ran down the front driveway in his pj's just as her mother was pulling up...

We had installed a new door on his room and hadn't put the new door knob on. So we left the knob off still, and added a hook and latch to lock it from the outside to keep him in....

Mine used to climb out of her 2nd floor window to create havoc in the neighborhood, Diagnosed with "Lindsay Lohan" Syndrome. Life was hell back then!

Hey Keefer. It looks like aluminum intake at least not sure of the rest of it.

Harbor Frieght has door alarms that trigger when the doors are open, I'm gonna install those this week some time. At least we'll know when she eacapes if we are asleep.

Still not worth the 500 bucks.... Heck I sold one of mine for 75 bucks with trans and that was running and driving as the dude showed up to get it.....
