Stop in for a cup of coffee

this world is going nuts ....tonight I had just turned onto the boulevard from a side street and this dodge ram comes out of no where because he had to be going 80+ MPH through a 45 zone ....he runs the red light because he had red because I waited till it turned green to turn.....he comes through the intersection and barely missed me, I looked up saw him coming right at me and I had whip the wheel to the hard right. (I was in my 68 dart)

I was still in shock and I hear sirens and I look out my driver door window and like right there in my face were red and blue lights and at least 10 cops came through the red light chasing him.

Then a few minutes later down the road .....three ambulances were rushing in that direction

I could have been history tonight


I am staying to see if it shows up on the news

It seems to work just fine. It just requires waiting longer and scrubbing a little more. Sometimes it need 2 applications. I use an SOS pad first to clean the tire and then after it's dry, use the Bleech-Wite.

Well, than heavens you weren't hurt. We'd miss you a LOT if you were history!

I've had near-misses like that in the past and it certainly gives you a new perspective of what might have happened. Breathe deep and thank God that you have another day in this World.

It makes you wonder what's going on, that someone would bring a knife with them into a mall, intending to maim and kill innocent people. Getting stabbed, your friends will always feel uneasy going anyplace.

Yikes! And it was a Ram, too. Would have made a terrible mess of you and your Dart. I'm glad you're ok!
 
Good morning, everyone!

I just dropped off our A4 to be serviced. And fix the AC. And change the oil in the Multitronic transmission. And replace timing belt and water pump. For a grand total of roughly $2,000. Yay.

holy smokes! damn glad it DIDN'T happen!! sad to know there were three wagons needed - that means the moron took someone with him.. did the news cover the story? - footnote: world not going nuts.. IS nuts. You can take that one to the bank.

This all happened at around 8 p.m. so I think it was too later to make the newspaper or news ...I might hear something today.

I was actually leaving from evening church service and was right around the corner from my church of all places

All that is in the news now is about a mile from all this another incident of an armed robbery and then chase happened and it ended with shots fired and a crashed cop car into the Get away Ford Ranger.
 
so - back to "normal" day 1 for moi.. ought to be a royal cluster f**k.. didn't sleep for ****, was just nodding off when the thunder storms spooled up - coffee good. :thumbsup:

Good Morning. I see you found your way in and got the coffee shop opened up...
coffee very good on this wet Monday.
Around 3:30 it sounded like a wave hit the house. One thunder boomer short time later sounded like a bomb went off

Yeah. And they called an hour ago to announce it needs a new main serpentine belt and a tensioner wheel. Another $150 ...

Statistically, driving to work is millions of times more risky. And dying from falling out of bed is more likely than being killed by a terrorist in the US.

So, no, there's no reason to be skeered.
