Stop in for a cup of coffee

Do you know what the 'GLH' designation that Carroll Shelby put on the performance versions stood for?

"Goes Like Hell"

The 'GLHS' stood for "Goes Like Hell Some more".

I don't know for sure but I would say this one is not a turbo ...it looks more "grandma" than the ones they are showing there as turbo cars. Turbo cars seem to have a black grille and some fancy stuff about them. The one I found looks like a motorized grocery cart
If it's a 2.2L, it may still have some demand. Folks can slap turbos on them or use them as a base engine for a bigger build.

dang, if you want a real truck....then you take a road trip down to Mexico.

we should bring a bunch of these up, they are actually available through the Dodge dealers in Mexico

Trick or treaters tomorrow night. I'll bet I will have to make a mad rush to Walgreens for more.

I need to move to your neighborhood ...you are giving out chocolate!!!!

I don't give candy out here because not many kids around and the houses are real far apart so its hard for today's obese and under motivated kids to walk down this road.

Yep, we've got 200 pieces in the bowl here too. It's the first year in this neighborhood so we are going by what the neighbors tell us to expect. I won't run out for more, when it's gone...it's gone. That's when I turn out the lights.

Chocolate candy in case there's some left. There never is. I saved back a stash of favorites anyway. 200 pieces should be enough but we get 250+ here and my wife often gives out more than 1 piece. My favorite part of pumpkin carving. Using power tools. Lol

I have a special electric pumpkin carving jigsaw I bought years ago. It's somewhere packed away in the stuff from the move to the new house...haven't found it yet. Did the pumpkins this year with a knife. Nowhere near as good as the jigsaw was.

Give me a break.....break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar!
Mmmmm...love Kit Kats! I saw a mega size at the store the other day and almost bought it. I resisted though, mainly because I knew it would put me in a sugar coma and it was the middle of a workday. Sucks to be an adult sometimes...LOL!

Luke is half done. It's a 3 headed serpent.

Way to have the Halloween spirit, guys! No trick or treat-ers here. I was listening to a spooky radio story about a New York State woman who was attacked by a rabid raccoon. She told every detail including what she went through to have the vaccine shots...they said three people have died there. One kid who was bitten by a bat in his sleep...they don't leave a mark. If you wake up and you see a bat, you must catch it!!

My Dad...I arrived unannounced and he was asleep and wearing a hospital gown. I know he doesn't really know the difference but shouldn't they get him dressed? He never really woke up enough for us to talk. The staff was nice but I wonder if they're letting him get dehydrated. I'll be talking to someone in charge tomorrow.

Best one I ever did...

Death Star Pumpkin 1b.jpg

Of course, this one was fun when I stuck a dummy in my Charger with an illuminated pumpkin head parked in the driveway. The kids didn't see it walking up the driveway but when they turned around, there it was!

Well, if he's in bed or sleeping the hospital gown makes caring for him easier...for them and more importantly, him. Hard to do body care if you have to fight with their clothing to do it and it agitates and frustrates the patient. The Dehydration part is important. Too easy to let it happen so it's a good call to make sure they are paying attention to his hydration.

Complacency is rampant in ALZ care. It's not because the staff doesn't care, it's because they are overwhelmed. It's important to develop a compassionate understanding relationship with them if possible so that they understand that you care about them as much as you want them to care about the one they are caring for. It motivates them to break out of trying to "get through their day" and recognize that they are caring for someone who is important to someone they know cares about them too.
