I have a good Friend with the same Cancer...Just got home from surgery yesterday..Prayers from here...
Prayers will be going out for my friend Mitches friend , I hope they can pro-long his life Mitch, I get sad thinking about brother and it really keeps my mind in check to enjoy each day like it was my last.

The Doc keeps pushing me for a colon, rather not know, and the weather is great here!

Well got bad news on the 440 front from my cousin and his shop manager. Looks like it's confirmed my fear. The block isn't usable in current shape. The scratches in the cylinder walls are too deep for a hone, plus the bores aren't perfectly round. Just barely out of round. Shop says .040 would fix the scratches but they are concerned about the roundness. They said it's probably just be best to sleeve and bore over to 0.030 so I can use my existing rorating assembly or buy new pistons if the bore will square up. Or buy a Virgin block and start over

Soooo...whatcha gonna do?

Is Scampy Alive ???

Yep. He just took the day off from work and he believes that when he's not getting paid to talk to us, we're not valuable!!

yea, can't believe im saying this, but its too quite in here with out him
..and a good day off it was too! cleaned up all the Halloween stuff and got the breezeway reorganized, made a new step for the hot tub, filled the hot tub, found the leak that has been haunting me for 3 seasons, cleaned up the deck and got started cleaning and reorganizing the basement... whew, I need a beer...

Well looking at the costs involved now. New pistons would be another 500+, not even sure what sleeves would run. My cousin and his shop manager doing the labor part free. So I may just go the route of a virgin block. I had sourced a 67 block from a buddy but it ended up having a couple cracks in the oil pan mounting area.

I like the later blocks ....I have seen people bash on the later stuff but manufacturing only improved as time went on and the later blocks are believed by many to be more consistent and plus 77 and 8 blocks have a different and improved webbing. Whitepunkonniutro pointed that out to me and that man has been racing since he was in the womb so he would know

Did I get Hoppy right in this one?

Thanks! I was hoping I captured him well enough. I know he said he wanted a version of the sign for himself.

Maybe I will be able to get everyone over time...
Lol Mikes would be scary hahaha

Oh btw I put that p51 image you sent me on my 32 in monitor at work, everyone loves it

Cool! Are you gonna get it printed too?
Yep. Trying to get a big printer to work at work to do it but it's old and giving us fits. It hadn't been used in 3 or 4 years.
