Got some good news...

The place I'm working at likes my work effort so much, they have offered me a job as a supervisor and want to convert me to their payroll after I get 460 hours in...

With benefits...

How about those Cubs!!!

Congrats!

We've had some crazy morning fog here over the past couple of weeks. I drive in and out of it when going up and down through the ridges and valleys on my way to work.

We get a crazy Marine layer here that builds in from the Delaware bay and river overnight and filters up through the creek valleys for 50 miles.

There was some crazy fog yesterday also... Here are some shots of the Cal-Sag river, and then some of a couple of lakes in the forest preserve that I take on my short cut....

I had to shoot them as I drove, as I didn't want to stop again and risk being late for work... Perfect record so far...

Hopefully they will follow through...

If not, I have a "Plan B" in my back pocket...
Always good to have a back up (or two). Since losing my last job, I am doing work for 3 different Companies in addition to the new full-time gig just to keep my options open.

I can feel the chill in the Fall air tonight. I'm glad I got the new Continental DWS 06 tires on the 300 C today. I have a feeling the weather is about to switch into full Winter mode soon and I don't want to get caught with crappy tires on my daily driver when it happens...

One of our local pizza joints offered 70% off during all of the World Series games...

Man did I eat alot of pizza in the last week.....

Good morning, around 55 deg here, fewer mosquitos possible. Getting ready to drive the Fury to Atlanta tomorrow, crisp Fall weather forecast there. My friend's son will be home on leave from the Marines next week, my friend's wife wants their Christmas tree decorated prior. For some reason they don't like doing it. She's an executive who delegates all the time. I used to do their tree and also give a hand when they had parties. She keeps my friend very busy. He can fix anything. I hope he'll have enough time to figure out how to get the Fury's windows working by adapting parts from the big hardware store there in Atlanta.
Good luck on the windows David, hope he gets them working for you.

Crap, now it will be light our earlier and darker earlier.... :BangHead:

Maybe I can start blowing my leaves at 6 AM.... :mob: (the neighbors will love me....) :elmer:
Yeah, I'm not a fan of standard time. I hate driving home in the dark for 4 months. At least going to work in the dark it gets lighter as I go...but once the sun sets, that's it.

We are also on the far Eastern edge of the Eastern Time Zone so it gets dark here at 4:30 pm in the middle of Winter. Yuk!
