I think I am going to spend the day with my younger son and do a punch list for him :drama: and thin some sheet rock mud and hit some areas I see fit to hit :wtf:

so my weekend was full. Yesterday, I finally agreed to take on a side job with my brother's diesel shop. He's been trying to get me to do the work on this Dodge Cummins dually a guy wants set up for pulling. I finally gave in and agreed to do the work. So yesterday, we made the 3 hour round trip to get the thing drug to my brother's so we can start on it. Then decided, since we have to pull the trans and t case, that we'd load it back up and take to the farm, 10 miles away and use the lift in the UNHEATED shop vs laying on our backs. That was the easy part. the entire trip, my brother was trying to sell me on going in with him on his latest greatest idea for his business, transitioning into custom car builds. Ratrods, street rods, restomods etc. I'd be lying if I didnt say I was intrigued by the thought, hell its a pipe dream ive thought of from time to time. Just dont know.
 
Chris, If I were you stay with what you know you will get paid every week and then do side work.

right right, this would be entirely a weekend/evening gig. He's keeping his full time job as well, this is more a hobby business than anything else. Granted, he did clear 30 grand after splitting with his business partners last year, not a ton but not bad for a part time hobby business.

yeah, like i said, im not sure im down with doing it, as i'm really wanting to focus on my dart this year now that the kids pretty much entertain themselves at night.
 
Dam nice car if it had t tops it would be exactly like my wifes first one. The scoop would have to go. Man if I had cash right now I would be doing a road trip right now!
 
yep. As much sibling rivalry there is between us, i can see there being issues. Then again, like he said, we've never actually done a project together. He's 6 years junior and I wasn't always the greatest big brother. Like I've said before, my family really isn't a tight knit group. But I told him that what we should do is a project first, see how it goes before we give this idea a go. So we kind of are. I also told him that if we do this, we're putting my wife and his soon to be wife(she's really good for him and got him to grow up a lot) in charge with VETO power. :rofl:

that is the ONE thing I do like about chevy's, the T- tops. Dad had a 78 sting ray with T tops when i was little, I loved that car. He had to sell it to pay bills from having my siblings.... 454/4 speed car. Honestly, the only chebbie I'd ever own if I could find one
