Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ugh! I just got a call from my sister. My niece's fiancée died from an unintended overdose of what he thought were prescription painkillers. My niece found him dead in the bathroom. Looks like he bought was he thought were prescription pills on the street, but they were actually garage made knock-offs...and they killed him. Nobody knew he was doing this stuff...or at least at this level.

She's a complete wreck now and her life as she knew it is destroyed. They owned a house together and were about to move into the next phase of their lives with him getting a dream job due to start next Monday.

We are now in support and pick-up-the-pieces mode. She's a well-educated and sweet woman who doesn't deserve this...but now we have to keep her from imploding and following his spiral into oblivion.

There just aren't enough words to describe how I feel about all of this.

good God Dave - that is horrible stuff - hopefully her intellect, along with lots of family support, will give her the strength and guidance needed to reach the other side of this. It sure sounds like he was having a rough go, it is sad that he was able hide it so well and didn't seek help. My thoughts and prayers to you and all affected.

I had to fight for the carafe, it disappeared and this thing you put little cups of special coffee in it. It took a hissy fit and temper tantrum to get it back. All good now! I'm like Dennis Leary, All I want is effin coffee flavored effin coffee.

we got one of those things for Xmess a few years ago - literally never use it

shyt, all week had my days and nights mixed up, I stayed up all night so maybe got to sleep at a reasonable hour tonight
 
The only flavored coffee I like is Hawaiian Chocolate Macadamia nut, Man that is good mixed with reg coffee!
